Arrrgh!(always a good opener), been perusing this site for a while now and have decided to take the plunge and see if I can sharpen my rusty typing skills. Greetings all!! I'm relatively new on the anime scene and as such have only seen a few series. Trigun comes out on top as my personal favorite with Escaflowne and Scryed being the other series' that I have found to be enjoyable. The style of artwork in anime greatly appeals to my sensibilities and as such I have taken a few lessons in that regard. I am continuously amazed by the anime pictures I've seen here and elsewhere on the Net. I look forward to interacting with the people here (assuming I get off my rear and type more often).

I haven't really seen enough anime yet, although I definately enjoy the comedic kind (ala Trigun). I don't care for fighting just for fightings sake but prefer an immersive storyline (like Escaflowne) or well designed world (such as Ghost in the Shell). Not sure that answers your question, but I don't think that either shonen or shoujo defines my tastes very well.

XD well..really both shonen and shoujo can have comedic elements.
Trigun is shonen. If you like Trigun you should check out Rurouni kenshin ^-^

Hi, welcome to CAA, Valkaiser.
I'm glad to hear you like The Vision of Escaflowne (yes, the series not the movie). As you can tell from my avatar I'm also a fan of the series. I'm not much for straight mecha or fighting, but when it is incorporated into a deep storyline like that of VoE, I don't mind it at all.
