I made a thread for this game series some while ago but it sank to the bottom of the Thread Abyss....

Ok, in the series, I own the following:

Wild Arms 2
Wild Arms 3

In the series as far as I know there is the following:
Wild Arms
Wild Arms 2
Wild Arms 3
Wild Arms Alter Code: F (Release date: October)

Ok, so I don`t know how hangnails work so I`ll give you guys links to the cover of each game:

Wild Arms: http://www.psxa2z.com/gpgs/ss/BT1212/BT1212F.jpg

Comments On Game: I heard the original is the best and apparently, from what I`ve heard that goes for Wild Arms as well.

Wild Arms 2:http://www.just-rpg.com/upload/pics/dir9/wa2cover.jpg

Comments On Game: Everyone tells me that this is the worst game in the series. Not that it is, but compared to the others. Unless, Wild arms 3 gets any better, then this I like better. This Game is like FF7 meets the wild west.

Wild Arms 3: http://www.just-rpg.com/upload/pics/dir9/wa3cover.jpg

Comments on Game: I like this game, but I like the 2nd better. The graphics are awesome, just like the second one (not realistic, but awesome when refering to the 2nd). Wild Arms to isl ike FF7 meets the wild west and this game isl ike Grandia 2 meets the wild west so what do you think the newest addition will be like?

The only thing that I dislike about this series is the world map system.

Has anyone else played these Fantastic games?

Alter Code:F, is a remake to the original, I just heard. Should I go with this, or buy the 1st?

Well, from what I've understood, the large amount of elements that are different between the two games might make it worthwhile to play through both.
You can read a good preview of Alter Code F here and a very in-depth import review of it here.

The first three games are pretty cheap now. I might pick them up.

At any rate, the most recent game is Wild Arms: The 4th Detonator.

Yeah, I read about the 4th Denator somewhere but from what I`ve heard it`s not coming out for awhile. I may pick up Wild Arms, around Christmas, i`m in the middle of 6 RPGs already.

I keep seeing 3 sitting in the local Hastings, and have wondered if it was any good. Of course, I have to replace my PS2 first.

^ It wasn`t IMO. It was Grandia II meets the Wild West and both of those genres are excellent.

This is another one of those series' that I've played briefly and wish I currently had the time and money for. I've played through half of 2 and the demo of 3. I will say that the 'Wild West' theme gives a great flair of originality that is often lacking from RPG's of it's type.

Hastings is the music/books/movie/video game chain store here in town. And I had to hawk my PS2 a while back, so I am patiently waiting for a good windfall to replace it. :)

Where`s Kaemmerite? He`s the Wild Arms guru. I would rely on him to give a detailed explanation on Wild Arms 1.
