Ju On or Ringu?

So I'm having my friends over in about a week, and I want to know which would be a better movie (that is, if I can't get both or whatever).
We've all seen The Ring and Ringu looks rather interesting and somewhat... creepier. Only on of my friends got to see The Grudge and said that "it was jumpy, but pretty dumb". Many Ju On is more promising?
So.... a little help? I might rent both, but it depends on how much my friends want to sit through the subs :/ (I on the other hand am quite used to them^^)
