Resident Evil: Apocalypse

Postby PumpkinKoRn52 » Mon Sep 06, 2004 11:40 am

RE Fans and zombie movie fans, the time of waiting is over. In four more days, Resident Evil will come out. I can't wait. This movie is bound to be good. There is a different director this time, so maybe there won't be that annoying little thing where every body dies at the beggining. Let me know if you got any opinions or insight to this movie.

I don't know, it looked interesting when I first saw the preview in theaters, but now she has these special "powers" and it's turned into a Super Hero film rather than a horror survival film. Not to mention, sadly (or predictably), to this day most (if not all) video game to movie transitions ended up being iffy instead of spiffy. But what say so do I have here anyway? I haven’t even seen the first RE movie. ;)

Link, you haven't seen the first one?!? I should hurt you man! (I can say this cause I know him personally, so don't bann me please!) The first movie was awesome. It doesn't matter if she has super powers, there are still ZOMBIES!!!!!! That's all that matters. If this movie aint any good, there's still Shaun of the Dead.

It'll be a cheese fest with big guns and bad one liners.

I agree with Jimbo. The first one wasn't really all that great either, but it wasn't all that bad...two stars. This one I have no interest in seeing.

But hey, it can't be any worse than House of the Dead, the worst movie ever made! Then again, I've never seen Plan 9 From Outer Space, so I may be wrong...

YES VIDICATION

I always secretly loved the first RE. I had to hide it because everybody else I knew thought the movie was total crap. well, here's RE's chance to make a movie that will justify my love for the franchise.

I don't care if it has no plot, no characters, or no anything, as long as it has zombies. That is why people go to see this movie... ZOMBIES! No one wants to see a zombie movie with plot. I don't care what any of you think, it's zombies. I love zombie movies. Period. The first R.E. was awesome because of two things: The licker and ZOMBIES!!! That's all I care about. ZOMBIES!!! ZOMBIES!!! ZOMBIES!!! ZOMBIES!!! ZOMBIES!!! ZOMBIES!!! ZOMBIES!!! ZOMBIES!!! ZOMBIES!!! ZOMBIES!!

I also enjoyed the first RE movie. Unfortunately I don't have a car while I'm at school, so I won't be able to see the sequel until October :( .

RE isn't the best movie (then again, RE isn't the best game, either), or even the best zombie movie, but that doesn't mean I won't like it :P .

I thought that the first movie perfectly captured the atmosphere and dark , dank , and mostly unsavory feel of the games. in that respect the movie was awsome. The only problem i had with it, was that the lead charicter sometimes acted like she was from the matrix.

I saw it on Friday with my friend. We were bored so we went out and saw it...I guess it was pretty cool. I mean, action flicks are really my cup of tea, but that one impressed me. The plot was pretty cool, and I liked how it had sort of a conspiracy thing goin down.

However, the zombie strippers were so unnessecary. That was the only thing that really bugged me about it. Otherwise, pretty rad flick.

EDIT: The soundtrack was totally awesome too. That was my favorite part. This is a wee bit OT, but does anyone know the name of the song they played at the beginning of the end credits?

i just saw it, i thought it was pretty good, though i thought they tried to pop a zombie out of every corner too much

it had alot of gore(i thought) and too many f words

but it had a good story overall, good action too

I think the movie had too little gore and gratuitous violence. And the strippers were uneccessary.
