Now I have 45 days to raise $6,000. O.O
I helped at the church Easter festival (at the church I help w/ the youth at.) I told a couple of the youth moms about my situation and asked if they had any ideas. One of them went and talked to a few other people --not 10 or 15 minutes later, I was approached by a man --he said, "I heard you need help getting a dog." I explained about Leon and Team Training in PA this summer.
He said that he may be able to get a flight for me to and from PA! He gave me his business card and I'm to call him this week (didn't today due to my accidental 4 hour nap.)
There is also the possibility that I may be able to get a host family in the area like I did the first time I went to Team Training in 2006.
Please pray for this situation. I have a HUGE paper due in 1 week that I haven't even started the research for b/c I've been so stressed and worried about this. I'm having to put the fundraising on the back burner for the week so I can get it done (so I can pass my Equine Repro class.) I don't think this would be a good excuse to my prof to not have it done.
45 more days until Team Training! Ah! I am under a tremendous amount of stress and pressure. If I don't raise the necessary funds, I don't go to Team Training. I can't take off school in the fall, I depend on the income from student loans. So, since Team Training is only this summer and this fall (my only 2 chances), I either go this summer or not at all.
I am struggling to get through Activities of Daily Living. Having a service dog again would help SO much and would help me regain some independence and self-sufficiency. Please, please pray for this situation. Getting people to help me physically with the leg work of fundraising (telling people, contacting businesses, hanging flyers) is like pulling teeth --even if it doesn't cost people any money, nobody seems to want to help at all. Not even the knitting group I've been a part of for 4 years.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
