Otherwise, I open doors for whoever, I go online whenever, I ask guys out (& get shot down!), I like to party at bon dances & anime conventions & church camps, I like my kanji tattoo, & boy, do I like clean running water, western toilets & electricity. If you've ever lived in a place that didn't have those, you know what I mean ]

As my history teacher expertly put it, America is not a "melting pot" of cultures but rather a "tossed salad", because in my honest opinion America has this way of attempting to bully everyone into acting "more American." where this idea came from is beyond me, as our constitution explicitly states that America exists for the people, and NOT people for America. It vexes me to no end to see people bashing other cultures, religions, languages, or traditions, because no matter how wrong you think they are you can't change them by bullying them and hatred. Rant over.

I know what you meant, but I still can't help but imagine a tattoo of Kanji from Persona 4. Of course, there would only be a few acceptable phrases for a Kanji tattoo to say. "Get bent!" is the obvious choice, followed closely by "Man, a watermelon!"

Both! They've got their own lovely merits, the former being an outer space drama that killed off good guys & characters you cared about, introducing Americans to some kickass animation & stories, while the latter is a sweet, slice-of-schoolgirl-life moe show inspiring otaku to buy guitars they'll never buy - although I'd like to think that more girls would start their own bands because of this ;-) & I admit, I've memorized "Don't say 'lazy'"!

I haven't seen either show, but I hate moe so Yamato automatically gets my vote. When it comes to anime, I guess you could say I'm "old-fashioned".

I'm Moe indifferent. If a show is "moe" I'll watch it if it's otherwise interesting. I think the idea is vaguely disturbing, but just because a show is catering to the Moe crowd doesn't mean it has to be equally disturbing. Lucky Star (Moe, I guess... they talk about it a lot) is one of my favorite shows. I like it because Konata is a hardcore geeky girl, and that is what I wish I could find as a wife (in addition to Christian, among other things) I don't like blue hair or women that look like children or whatever... Those are all superficial things, and there is more to the characters than that.

Then there's Haruhi... Mikuru, Yuki, and Haruhi are supposed to represent the Moe trinity (no pun intended), but I just think the concept is interesting, even if Haruhi herself is downright EVIL for much of the show... She does get better (I guess that's kind of the point of a Tsundere character)

Also I saw the word "Alot", Seeing as someone posted a blog on this I had to laugh. I try to incorporate proper English on the internet, not those annoying shortcuts. I prefer face to face interaction rather than phones (Though the internet is okay too).
