Oh yeah definitly. They were masters at the silent no voice acting cutscenes. One cutscene that I think of also is in dark Agon after you get all the keys, after you kill the tri-worm thing (the name escapes me right now). Now that was a pretty cool cutscene.Peanut wrote:While Prime 3 does seem to have a better story (though that's kind of by default since Prime's plot was almost non-existent and Prime 2's plot was there but...wasn't really good), I do sort of miss the lack of voice acting and silent cutscenes. Not because Prime 3's cutscenes and voice acting were bad but because Retro Studios was just so good at them. Specifically, I'm thinking of a certain cutscene right before the final fight with Dark Samus in Prime 2.

Every time I think or see anything about Other M I feel like I need an O2 supply.

Oh, heck yeah! The boost quardian made me go just about nuts. It took me 2 of 3 hours to beat that thing (on my first playthrough)... and I was using super missiles T__T. surprisingly though I didn't die once on my 2nd playthrough (more ecperience I guess).Peanut (post: 1381466) wrote:After giving it some thought, yes, Prime 2 is the hardest for one reason: The freaking Boost Guardian. The bosses in the first Metroid Prime were hard but I found in my first play through that they actually made you a better player as you went on. By Prime 3, I was so used to the game that there really wasn't anything that bothered me. The Boost Guardian though...it still gives me nightmares...I hate that thing. The final two fights of Prime 2 are hard also if only because you have to fight them back to back and the last one has a timer on it.
I second this.antebellum wrote:I think the music is amazing

But then I realized I don't want to cry as another game franchise is flushed down the toilet.

The first M game we got was "zero mission" (with the original NES along with it). followed by MP2 for christmas 4 or so years ago (our dad didn't realize that there was an MP1 yet). So I grew to love the FPS aspect pretty quick. XDNate wrote:I was one of the people who, when Metroid Prime was being made, said "Hey it's going to be an FPS? That's pretty cool!" I embraced the change. I looked forward to it despite the fanboys who said "Metroid as an FPS will totally suck and Retro Studios should die because it'll be the worst Metroid game ever made!" I believed! And I was proven right. Metroid Prime was awesome.
