Yes, it is that time again where we all celebrate the day of our nations birth! Happy Birthday America!

So what is everyone going to do on this wonderful day?

Im going to continue watching the Twilight Zone marathon(As I do every year.), go see my city's fireworks at 9, go set off the fireworks we own out in the country, and then come home to watch the Boston Pops.

JUST TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT!!!

The Continental Congress voted the United States of America to be an independent nation on July 2nd!

July 4th is simply the earliest date they could get the final draft back from the printers.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.

July 2nd was also the day the aliens showed up in the 1996 sci fi/disaster film Independence Day starring Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum, and Bill Pullman. Coincidence? I think not.

Anyway, I'm going to be listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd all day. That's how I'm going to celebrate.

Also the Declaration was signed on August 2, 1776.
Seems kinda silly to celebrate today. ^.^ Oh, well.

Yep.... my city has canceled its yearly celebration (which is usually a pretty big deal), due to budgetary issues. I think they're still holding the firework display, but that's it.

My husband has to work until 11 tonight, so unless my friends say I can go see fireworks with them, I'm not going.

Mina, you made me LOL.

I don't often have plans for this particular holiday, but my house is situated on a nice hill, so it's a good viewing point for all the evening fireworks shows in the city.

Happy 4th of July everyone! :D

:jump:Happy Forth of July!:jump: I guess it will be bbq or something with some pies and/or cakes. Don't know if we'll go out to see fireworks either. If not, I guess I'll find something on tv to watch.

I'm going to a family barbeque and later on some safe and sane fireworks, AKA snaps

Hope everyone has a great independence day.

Happy 4th of July. ^_^ I'm not sure if I'm going to go see fireworks yet. It might just be another regular Saturday night with me staying on here and watching anime later on.

DANGEROUS THINGS WITH EXPLOSIVES!!!

Alright, don't try this at home. I am an idiot and I don't have health insurance. My friends got a bunch of Jumping Jacks, we stuck a block of them together and threaded a sparkler through the middle for a fuse.

FREAKING.

We did that, too. ^^

But, as our neighbors are ''munitions experts,' we didn't have to leave the yard to see fireworks.

We had a completely awesome BBQ as well, and perfect weather. Hope everyone's 4th was as good.
