It's all based around luck for the simple reason that the chances of any item falling anywhere are random. It's possible for items to land right next to you most of the time during a match. If so, that gives you the upper hand.

If everyone else wants items on, then I leave them on. But generally I look down upon item-usage for competitive play. You're mastering your chosen character, and you don't need some cheap pokeballs or hammers to drop down to someone's advantage.

Luck is completely what makes items not as interesting as no items for me. Things like the Max Tomato, Heart Piece, Super Star, and Bobomb are too luck based (where they fall).

It's really just a whole lot more balanced of a game with all items off. Some characters are balanced around not having ranged attacks, for example. Items give that character a ranged attack.

It's really a matter of preference. I don't like the way that items effect the game, so I don't use them when I have the choice. I really don't understand why this is such a debate among smashers. My choice to not use items really doesn't effect you.

Well I personally see items as part of the game, just like the landscape of each stage. So it's not only about mastering your character but about mastering the landscape and the items as well. Everyone has a right to their opinion though.

I kind of feel sorry for the little guy...notice he tucks in his little legs when you throw him?

Actually, I think I also feel sorry for the character on the receiving end of that throw...O_o

That's more epicness than a silly nintendo fighting game deserves.

My friends by silly I do not mean that SSBB is bad. I am simply saying that there is much silliness abounding from this game which rocks!

If the Sonic stage in Brawl is the Floating Island, that would be just awesome.

I must say, today's update is the best I have seen in quite a while. I am very glad that the slot machine got an update, it was extremely annoying to put in one coin after another, hoping against hope that the trophy you want would come popping out. This new mini-game looks like a lot of fun.

Yeah, Panzer Dragoon was never on a Nintendo console...remember one of the requirements to be in Smash Bros. is to have appeared at least once on a Nintendo system...so obviously it's not from Panzer Dragoon...

Also yeah, you have to collect three pieces of Dragoon, just like in Kirby Air Ride. XD

Yeah, kind of sad that there aren't going to be any updates for a while. "I sense a plot to destroy the Jedi..." Well, not really, but I do think that they're probably trying to not give too much away before the release, so they're taking a break.

Glad to see that Onett, Rainbow Cruise, and Brinstar are back.
I am a bit disappointed that Yoshi's Island is returning. I don't think I've enjoyed any of the matches I've ever played on that map. I was hoping to be rid of it.

Here's hoping that Hyrule Castle from SSB64 returns.

One of the songs remixed specifically for Brawl is the Angel Island Zone music from Sonic 3.

So...
