Is G4TV history?

Postby rocklobster » Mon Nov 19, 2007 2:20 pm

Is G4TV history or am I a victim of wishful thinking. I was channel surfing a few days ago and found nothing but static on the channel where g4 normally aired. If they are history, then I say good riddance. They went downhill when they stopped playing Anime Unleashed.

They are still around.

I'm guessing the channel was taken off in your area or they added it to the digital cable package. Comcast has starting to pull some channels off that was part of the basic cable package and moved them to the digital cable package.

IMO, G4TV was never good. TechTV was better, but the merger of TechTV and G4TV really killed Anime Unleashed. After, it was TechTV that had Anime Unleashed and G4TV brought it over for a bit.

Oh and G4TV Canada still has Anime Unleashed.

G4 has been history ever since the merge with TechTV. I used to love that channel, but after the merge, it just went downhill. And I never even watched Anime Unleashed. XD

In G4TV's defence, Ninja Warrior is kind of cool.

But yeah, other than that it's pretty lousy.

G4 is a bucket full of absolute fail.

It needs to die.

G4 had better stick around. If Olivia Munn leaves, then I'm leaving, too.

Ever since "Call for Help" was taken off TechTV and replaced with Attack of the Show -- G4 has had a huge cross hair on it. It was ok at first, but it's just become a show on sex. And replacing Sarah with Olivia just showed how low class the show was becoming, not that I have anything again Olivia, I think she's a babe...but it's just going downhill ever since Anime Unleashed was banished...I remember seeing Last Exile on there one night.

X-Play is still watchable, somewhat.

The only show I ever watched was Extended Play/ X- Play. When they gave Jedi Outcast a 2 out of 5, I got angry...

Mmm. Xplay. Loved that show. Really the only reason I watched G4, but Ninja warrior was cool too.

No! Not Ninja Warrior! My whole family gathers around the TV to watch it together! It's our bonding time!
Besides that, where I live now has a French language channel instead of G4. Not an improvement.

Now G4 is so much like Spiketv that it is hard to tell the difference.

I actually like Code Monkeys. And Xplay is pretty cool too. But Anime Unleashed was really awesome. (That's how I saw Serial Experiments: lain.)

I rarely watch the station, I miss shows like The Screen Savers and Call for help.
