Me, Myself, And My Other Personalities

Well, since I have been a member of the CAA since September 2003, I figured I should post something about myself!


Real Name: Staci (with an "i" only!)

Gender: Female

Age: 22

Sign: Aries (woohoo!)

Born: April 19th, 1981 in Anchorage, Alaska

Living Near: Anchorage, Alaska

Christian Denomination: I am Non-Denominational


Interests/Hobbies: Playing and listening to music, singing, writing poetry and prose, video games, reading Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Horror/Manga, and my Benji (Shinigami).


Plans for the future: When I move to New Hampshire to be with my fiance (getting married September 12th, 2004), I plan on joining him at a Dojo to learn Shaolin Kenpo Karate. If I'm good at it, I would love to open up a Dojo with him and teach the craft to others. I also wish to Major in Japanese. If I am not good at Kenpo, I will get my degree in teaching History to High Schoolers.


Favorite food: General Tsao's Chicken with pork fried rice


Favorite treat: Dark chocolate with mint inside


Least favorite food: Squash (yuck!!)


Favorite anime: "Irrepsonsible Captin Tylor"


Allergies: Peanuts, dye in food (red mainly), silicone, nickel in most metals, and orange juice in high quantities.


What I miss the most: Dark chocolate and peanut butter ice cream. ;_; (Stupid allergy).


Scariest thing: Being alone/abandoment


Coolest thing I've ever done (so far): Participated in my high school theatre group for the last two years of my schooling. I did everything from running the snackbar, to acting, to being a Stage Manager for over 60 teenagers while we put on "Fiddler on the Roof".


Dream of the future: Wedding my soulmate, Ben, and having two children (Connor William and Alayna Kathleen).

Good to know more about you, Akaida!

That's really cool that you might end up running a dojo. Makes me think of Kaoru. ;)

Yeah, peanuts is an allergy I wouldn't like to have, but not as bad as tomatoes or dairy products.

Are you a Robert Jordan fan?

Spiritsword - Yes, I am a Robert Jordan fan, though I have only read up to book 7 of The Wheel of Time. He's taking too long as it is, hehe. I'm one of those people who "has to be in the know". Therefore, I do not like waiting to see what happens with his multitudes of cliffhangers.


Oh, and the Kaoru thing is rather funny. My fiance's favorite anime is Kenshin and he wants to be a Weapon's Master. He recently received his First Degree Brown Belt in Shaolin Kenpo Karate and will be testing for First Degree Black in June/July of this year. We sound like Kaoru and Kenshin already. ^^;;



ShiroiHikari - Yes, I also write prose. That answer goes along with Spiritsword's question: I used to actively role play on message boards for The Wheel of Time... I started in January '99, and continued on until 2001 or so. If I were to write something now, though, I think my prose would need some brushing up on. :sweat:

The Wheel of Time is a great series. I have read all the books so far and am eagerly awaiting the next one. I'm like you, Akaida, where I want to know what happens next. But that's part of the fun, isn't it? That's why I like anime series better than movies and serial novels better than stand-alones. You get to go back and see the characters again each time, and it's like seeing old friends. Have you ever read the Dark Tower books by Stephen King? Any time you want to chat about the Wheel, feel free to PM me!

I hope you and your fiance have a very happy and properous marraige, Akaida. Cute names for your kids too. I'd love to learn Japanese myself, but, sadly, they don't offer Japanese in my high school, so I will be waiting until college to learn. ^_^

My advice if you cannot take Japanese until college: take Spanish. Why? Because both languages are phonetic (it's said how it's written) and they use the same pronunciation styles in a lot of areas. If you can master Spanish with no problems, Japanese (or at least speaking it, no Kanji) will be easy as well.


Yo tomo quatro anos de espanol in mi esquela. Fue tan facil y me encanta la langua. (Translation: I took four years of Spanish in my school. It was very easy and I love the language.)

Already took my language credits in French, and the Spanish teacher at my school is totally nuts. And not in a good way. ^_^
