Bleh. Whats with everyone liking the power characters? XD I really want to know.. Every where I see a SSBM player, especially in my college, its the same group of characters.

Where is the originality? Where are the bowser characters? The zelda (not sheik) masters? XD Where are all the people that actually kick butt as pichu or jigglypuff? Or Luigi? It seems anywhere I go people only play the same 3 characters (and their clones) Marth, Fox, C. Falcon...

Anyway, to be more on topic... My favorite character is Peach <3 There is nothing like using a turnip as a distraction, or using it for random humor. (Like throwing up a turnip then grabbing an enemy and knocking them up into it XD) Peach has to be the most random character ever. Yay for smacking mario with a frying pan!

And her charged down spin/sweep attack? Can anyone say "unbelievable damage"? Not to mention her floating ability, have you ever tried faking people out on the Hyrule temple stage? (completely by pass grabing the obvious sides and sinking down to the lower parts of the level, fun XD)

OH! not to mention her random turnips that do random damage, and have a random (microscopic) chance of picking out a bob-omb, laser sword, or mr.satrun, or one hit ko turnip.

Lets not forget her match end taunt... "Oh...Did I win? *cute pose*"

Favorite. Character. Ever.

My favorite character to use is Sheik but my favorite character I would like to be good at is kirby or jigglypuff... both of which I suck at... My brother is really good wiht Jigglypuff... its so embarassing to lose to a jigglypuff and especially painful to see a jigglypuff win a tournament...

I suppose I'm best with Young Link, but my favorite is probably Pichu.

1. Young Link/Pichu
2. Dr. Mario
3. Jigglypuff

So are several of the characters. He has some subtle differences from Mario, too. Plus I just get a big kick out of throwing pills at people :P

And just for the record, I love really fast characters. In pretty much all fighting games I use the faster and weaker characters. It's too much fun to jab the enemy a thousand times from every angle before they can strike back with a big lumbering attack XD

They're all probably off in corners of the room crying because of how bad of a deal Bowser got when he was made. I mean really, he's slow and he has a horrible range.

The zelda (not sheik) masters? XD

My bro is working on that actually, though he hasn't really gotten very good with her yet.

Where are all the people that actually kick butt as pichu or jigglypuff?

Well, if you replace pichu with pikachu (I hate that pichu self-inflicts damage) then you've got two of my fav chars to play as.

Or Luigi?

Me and my bro used to be really good with him too. I'll have to play as him sometime this weekend.

It seems anywhere I go people only play the same 3 characters (and their clones) Marth, Fox, C. Falcon...

What'dya know!? Three of my other fav chars! (Though I much prefer Falco and Ganon over their originals)

The fact that Pichu self inflicts damage isn't much of a bother to me, personally. Last I remember, his lightning attacks only do 1% damage to himself, which is prac tically nothing. The speed advantage he gets over Pikachu is more than worth it to me.
I, also, prefer Falco and Ganondorf over their "clones"

True, but I don't like how he's got less reach than pikachu. I realize that Pika doesn't have much of a reach to begin with, but taking away more just makes me agrragated. Also, Pichu's forward smash deals damage in steps, not all at once, kinda like Young Link's Up-B attack (I like old link more than young too).

I guess it's just preference.

Granted. I prefer Young Link over adult Link, too, haha. I still like Pikachu and Link quite a bit, I just prefer the smaller faster versions of them.

Well to start I prefer Link over Young Link but hey...

I can't believe I who I forgot! Mr. Game and Watch. I love Mr. Game and Watch. He seriously kicks hiney, especially when you get used to him. Granted his movement is a little clunky but his grabs are amazing and his random hit thing has great affects.
Will insert something intelligent here later... maybe

That doesnt mean that bowser isnt any good, as per this example:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=XY8Z6p6fiR8

My bro is working on that actually, though he hasn't really gotten very good with her yet.

that's part of captain jack's bowser special vids. it's basically rigged so it will make it look like chronos rainbow's fox gets owned by captain jack's bowser. seriously, chronos is a pro in japan and he wasn't even trying his hardest. please stop bragging about how good you are because it's starting to get irritating.

My best character is Jigglypuff!! I love playing him because it annoyes my opponents so much when I own them royally ^^. I'm not a super good player though, and I always lose when I play against "professional" people in tournaments and stuff. (I played 4 player rounds at a few anime cons, and the best I could ever do was second place) Jigglypuff was a lot more powerful in the original game, in SSBM you have to be almost on top of your opponent for rest to work, back in the original it hit a lot more.

Besides Jiggly, I like playing a Mewtwo, Mario, Doctor Mario, Peach, Ness, and Zelda. However, I pretty much suck at everyone other than Jigglypuff.

That's pretty much the exact way you use rest. The center of Jigglypuff has to be touching your opponent for rest to work, which is what makes it so difficult to pull off... and why it's so satisfying to see someone fly a way because of it.
