Formal TV Viewings

Postby RineyX21 » Thu Sep 07, 2006 7:17 pm

Does anybody here do a lot of 'formal' viewings with the stuff they want to watch? Like turning off the lights, positioning yourself just right in front of the TV, and making sure there aren't any distractions?

I have to admit I do this with my DVD movies all the time. Getting into the movie requires that the environment around me is free from any distraction; which means no garbage lying around the living room, dimming any source of light hitting the picture tube, and making sure there are other people who are willing to accompany me watching it (instead of being distracting).

I do the same with TV shows and anime that I enjoy the most watching, but I can be pretty lenient when it comes to stuff that is relatively short.

The only thigns I'm really fussy on is hitting the lights when it's nighttime (can't stand lights on when you watch at night^^) and trying to sit somewhere... comfy^^ Doesn't haven't to be directly in front of the TV, but depending how/where I sit, my neck/back can get sore easily :/

I like to pay attention to what I'm watching so I try not to look at the clock and
try to block other things out.
