They have the best lyrics...and the lead singer has a great voice, in my opinion...

That was a great band until they split. Between the wolf and I, we have all their albums.

*falls over backwards* I just posted that as a reply on the Musical Alphabet thread just a minute ago, and I didn't even notice this thread until then!

Actually, the only song I really remember by them is Flood -- and I think I've heard one other one by them that I don't know that well, and I don't know the name of it.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Jars of Clay's "Flood" instead? That one was kinda mainstream popular.

 ...I believe you're right, Mith -- that's exactly who I was thinking of. *feels like a dunce*

In that case, although I've heard of Pray For Rain, I'm not familiar with any of their songs.

I was just thinking of them the other day when Air1 was playing "Praying for Sunny Days" for the hundredth time. All I'm saying is Hyperstatic Union is not from Tx.

But yeah, PFR is cool. I'm not sure of the songs name, but "Wonder Why" is cool, and I remember liking "Goldies Last Days."

I've known about them for a while as well. I pretty much agree with FadedOne, they're good but just not my thing.

I try to tell people I meet about PFR (they're back together, actually) by letting them know that Leigh Nash's husband is the drummer.

I love the song "Them." It's actually quite profound in its way. I was very disappointed it wasn't on The Late Great PFR.

I actually have their first album, from when they were still called "Pray for Rain". That was 1992... wooooooowww.... can't believe it's that old. :brow:
I also have their second, "Goldie's Last Day", but that's it.
I saw them perform once at a local Christian skate night right before they actually came out with their first album. At the time, they only had a tape single out, and I wasn't thrilled with them, but it wasn't long after that they became known.
I always wondered what happened to them... :eyeroll:
