Incubus anyone?

INCUBUS IS SET TO RELEASE LIGHT GRENADES THIS FALL
AND TO PERFORM ON VH1's DECADES LIVE WITH THE PRETENDERS AUGUST!

Incubus is gearing up to release their fifth studio album Light Grenades this November. The highly anticipated new album - which was produced by renowned producer Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Bob Dylan, Korn) - is a mix of hard rocking songs and sublime ballads recorded over the last year in both Los Angeles and Atlanta. This is Incubus' first new music since A Crow Left of the Murder which spawned the hit "Megalomaniac." Light Grenades is planned for release in November, 2006.

"It kicks, it bites, it loves, it hurts. It's the closest we've ever come to being the band we want to be," says singer Brandon Boyd.

I'm so excited!
Whatever the sentiment, Whatever the expression
The most beautiful thing in the world is love

That's not how they got their name.

Brandon Boyd one day randomly picked a word from the dictionary without looking at the definition.

True, but the connatations that go with the name are still there. They have some good songs, but in general their music is too 'extreme' in themes and language for my liking.

If you guys didn't have a constructive addition to the thread... why post?

Anyways... I've been an Incubus fan for years. I haven't been too terribly satisfied with their work after 'Make Yourself', though. There have been songs I've liked since then, though. Hopefully, 'Light Grenades' will mark a return to a Make Yourself-esque sound. I can't guarantee I'll be getting this on its release date... but I will probably pick it up eventually.

Sorry i did relize my post was sortof useless but i was saying that I wasn't a big fan of there lyrics not all but some are like i mention to racy for me. But I do think they are talented and I would listen to them if they were just a bit cleaner. I liked the song with the video that shows him like drawing himself and it was softer. Not sure what it was called

That song is called "Drive".

I'm pretty fond of "The Warmth", "I Miss You", "Megalomaniac" and "Pardon Me" myself.
