I like a few of Jars of Clay's songs, but I don't own any of their CDs...any reccomendations?

Oh, and I left out Lazy Knack and Charcoal Filter and Iceman from my list. Bad Kokoro~

But anyway, uh...Here's my list.

- Third Eye Blind
- Collective Soul
- The Dandy Warhols
- Matchbox 20's non-popular stuff
- Goo Goo Dolls

People don't like the Goo Goo Dolls and Collective Soul? I know they're not really, really popular, but I know many people who love them. Collective Soul has a few great albums, and some not so hot ones, and Goo Goo Dolls have some good songs, if you listen to them separately on not an album straight through. I love Naked and Bullet Proof. I have all of Matchbox 20's albums, and my favorite song is number 13 on their second cd.

My favorite Jars of Clay cd is Much Afraid, but I only know one other person who likes that album the best. Generally, everyone likes their first cd, the self-titled one, the best, and The Eleventh Hour is good. I have all their cds except their newest one.

Shooraijin, REM is popular? I know that their live shows sell out, but I really don't know anyone who owns their cds except for myself. I have six of them... :brow:

It's not that they don't like them, but they just haven't really heard many of their songs. Everyone knows Big Machine, Here is Gone, and Name, but they haven't heard the rest of their cds. Same w/ Collective Soul and Matchbox 20.

the cd Much Afraid(IMHO) is the best jars of clay cd ever!
every song on there is great!

Around here they are. I myself have quite a few (Life's Rich Pageant, Eponymous, Green, Out of Time, Automatic for the People, Monster, Reveal and Best Of).

Gjallarhorn, Hedningarna, and La Bottine Souriante. Then again I've never met anyone else who's even heard of them. I've run into a lot of people who don't like the Tragically Hip either.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

I gotcha now Spencer. I know a lot of people who only know the hits also, so yeah, I agree.

Cool, Shooraijin. I have Automatic for the People, Green, Monster, Out of Time, Eponymous, and the new one with "The Great Beyond" on it (obviously I don't listen to that one much). I know like one person who knows their albums at all, so that's cool that they are still popular somewhere.

I'm sorry but I listened to Demon Hunter and for a band with a name as cool as that I expected something a little more (pardon my language but there is just no other way to say this) bada**. As far as I could tell they were just screaming incoherently into the mic. I mean come on, they call themselves Demon Hunter, they’re very name boils my blood to battle. I expected something in the caliber of Pillar, Kutless and East West. Oh well, maybe I should give them a second listen, it wouldn’t be the first time a band has wooed my ears after giving them a another shot.

Ok I like a lot of bands so I'm gonna state that I'm a fan of Goo Goo Dolls, Raze and Porno Graffitti as well...wow, I can't believe someone else like PGraffiti in CAA.

I'm a rabid Jars of Clay fan so I will be biased. I love all albums especially the latest one, "Who we are Instead." ^^

Okay to people that like the following bands, don't worry I like them too:
REM, Moby (how can you hate Moby!?!), Oasis, Dandy Warhols (Love 'em), Coldplay (again who hates Coldplay?), the Pillows

Um, I have a secret love of Smash Mouth, Robbie Williams, and Cher. I don't know if those count. Otherwise the Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Sondre Lerche. I'm sure I like alot of bands that the majority of the population has never heard of, but I have friends that do so I don't think those count.
Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course, we wouldn't fall in love, or have babies, or be who we are. After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it's comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you're very lucky, a plane ride away.

Oh no! I think the board died... I hope not. Here goes;

Disciple (absolute favorite!!!)
Papa San
Extol (old stuff anyway, I'm having a hard time with Synergy)
Stacie Orrico (go ahead and laugh)
Cross Movement
Fiti Futuristic
Stryper (These guys are so COOL!!!)

I wonder why people don't like them... Like some other people said, Tourniquet is awesome. The rerealeses have some of the best live songs I've ever heard! I only heard 1 of Mortal's albums. I think it had like some hindu statue or something on it. It was awesome!

I hear a lot to christian music, but the one that I like the most are not mentioned here... from them who is mentiodned I like: All star united, Jars of clay, DCtalk, Audio Adrenaline, Relient K and delirious?

Nightshade X gave a very big list, but my favorite artist or kind of music was not mentioned that much... ;) anyway, they from the list that I really like is: Big Tent Revival and Rebecca St. James, the most of the bands in the list I have heard of, but they are not music I normally listen to...

I like Sondre Lerche too.. I saw he was mentioned, and I will comment because he is from Norway(Extol is too ;) ) :) I have not listened so much to him, but his new single "two way monologue" is pretty good. Some other non-christian music I like is: Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, Enya, REM, Pink Floyd, U2 ++ but I dont listen that much to non christian music...

Then the list of my all time favorites!!! (that are not mentioned before as I saw)

Sara Groves (!!!)
Chris Rice (!!)
Andrew Peterson
Don Fransisco (!!)
Bebo Normann
Caedmons Call
Michael W. Smith (! no one has mentioned him??)
David Ruis
Edward John
Exit
Geoff Moore (!!)
Micheal Card (!)
Kenny Marks
LaRue
Neal Morse (!!!)

In addition to this there are a lot more too... but the list will be to long, so I'll stop
We in our foolishness thought we were wise
He played the fool and He opened our eyes
We in our weakness believed we were strong
He became helpless to show we were wrong
