Kriz Learns To Draw

i wanted to give something special as a birthday present for a friend that i care so much, so i made a website specially designed for her and contain pictures of her (drawn by me)...this is one of the pic ^^ handrawn using pencil, inked then scanned, colored using Photoshop7.0

i'm not very good at drawing backgrounds-well it's just an excuse, actually i'm too lazy to draw backgrounds with details in them..so instead of drawing backgrounds, i use photos to acquire the right background ^^ i should stop doing this!

I will also add to these comments that you did a nice job on her eyes. They're an unusual shape, very different. :)

inkhana: does it look unusual to you? i'm influenced by CLAMP a lot, so i thought the eyes are CLAMP'ish hehe...anyway thanks for your comments ^^

Ahhh, that explains it. ^^ I am something of a novice where anime/manga is concerned, and I'm not very familiar with CLAMP, that's why I didn't recognize it...:) Anyway, good job!

Waiiii, me like VERY much ^^ Your style is always so clean and neat! Not to mention combining real backgrounds with foreground (I have no ability to do that--let alone in a comic like Nelly ^^;; )

Hmm, maybe a little bit more brave in the shading? Though I guess that doesn't really matter since your other pics are well done ^^
