Good GBA/ PC game

Postby wiggins » Fri Jan 30, 2004 7:40 am

Hi guys. I'm looking for a good gba/ pc game. Casn I have some reccomendations. The only 2 i have in mind now are final fantasy tactics advance or final fantasy 11. Which one is better? I know it's hard to compare but which one is morew worth my money, and which is more fun? I'm open to other suggestions as well. As to the genre of games I like, i am hard pressed to say which, but here's a list of games i enjoy to give you an idea:

Battledfield 1942
Gunbound
Golden Sun 1 & 2
Megaman battle network 1, 2, & 3
Xenosaga
.Hack
Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2
Zone of Enders 1 & 2
Final Fantasy 7 & 10
Kingdom Hearts
SSX Tricky
Halo
Gunbound

I know some of them are ps2, but it;'s to give an idea of what kind of games i like. Help me out? Thanks!

Hmmm...there used to be a couple of threads on this subject, but I guess they are buried in the archives. The only other games I would recommend to you are the Advance Wars series, and the Mario Advance titles. The newly released Metroid Zero Mission might also interest you.

Oops...I didn't see that this was GBA and PC games. Allow me to recommend some of my favorite PC games:

Halo-good if you don't already have an X-Box, or if you would rather have the keyboard/mouse controls.
Dungeon Siege: Legends of Arranna-Cool RPG where your skills are determined by how you fight.
Warcraft 3/WC3: The Frozen Throne-Intense real-time strategy game. The learning curve is quite high, but it is fun if you can get into it.
Unreal Tournament 2003-Good FPS title. It has creative weapons and lots of acrobatics.

Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword for the GBA! It's the best game ever! At least until Crystal Chronicles for the Gamecube comes out...
In a world shrouded in mystery, the winds of change begin to blow.

If you're willin to pay the money for FF11, get it! It's totally worth it.. so much to do, and able to change classes on a whim, you can't go wrong! Otherwise, I highly recommend Fire Emblem. It's a strong stratagy game, turn based, and VERY addictive. I haven't quite beat it yet, but I've yet to put it down for more then a few days. Otherwise.. you might want to look into NWN, it's a really popular game, and can be very fun. :)

If you like strategy/RPGs, I would suggest Final Fantasy Tactics Advance or Fire Emblem.

FFTA is a fun game to play. Cool classes, nice missions.
A tad on the easy side.

Fire Emblem is also fun although much more difficult. I haven't finished it yet. My levels are a bit on the low side. :bang:

If you like more action-oriented games I can recommend Metroid Fusion(action) or Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow(action/RPG).

Tactics Ogre: The Knights of Lodis is one of my GBA favs. It's less overwhelming and more friendly that Final Fantasy: Tactics....

I dont want to sound too enthusiastic so I'll say this slow...
Call of Duty...is...the...BEST...first person war game...I have EVER PLAYED.
It is absolutally AMAZING!!!!!!!!
If you want a good GBA game then (if you like platformers) I'd suggest Yoshi's Island, its the best 2D mario game ever!!!!
I'm not over hyping these 2 games, they really are brilliant!
