Heh, PI is broke now XD I found two really great deals, and I had to buy them... so now I'm down to 50k and I can barely afford food xD But when he hits level 31, PI is going to the arena and going to tear some people up. With a full Layered Set, the level 30 rare bow, a plug, and DARK Illusion, I will own xD

Okay xD I wanted to say that I have once again changed my mind on teh cash shop item. I was thinking about it... and all I'll be getting rid of is Burst Crack... so It's not worth 15mil to get rid of that >.> But that still makes me wonder, will I get some Refresher Holds, or Shineglasses? Decisions...

They require that you are level 70 (unless you are a RM) and that you play at least 4 hours a day. DOn't ask me about their criteria; I didn't make it up >.> LegendChopper did.

lol, well you could still make your own guild. I mean, you're level 40. And I could give you a bunch of quest items to level it up (for a price, of course xD ) I have at least 200 that I could sell you.

And I got Rico to 92 or 93 exp yesterday, but the disbanding of HolyKnights pulled me away from grinding >.>

Yeah, it was a big deal that HK disbanded. HK is like, 3rd or 4th best guild in Aibatt, under only like Redrum and Envy (and maybe Titans). It was so big, there were even people from Redrum and Envy at the disbanding ceremony thingy. (btw Redrum is teh guild with the 2 highest level players on Aibatt - Meis and DepTrai)

I just started playing. My character is named Ravious. Level 11.

This marks the first time that I am impressed by a free MMO. And I'm glad that it's relatively simple. But, I don't like the fact that grinding will take forever in higher up levels. :(

BTW, any advice as to which occupation I should take when I reach that certain level?

Welcome!

First, a question - what server cluster are you playing on; Lawolf, Aibatt, or Mushpoie?

Second - I can probably help you with your job choice, but it depends on what you want to do.

Mercenary - Fights with swords and/or axes. Good for close up, one-on-one fighting.

Acrobat - Fights with bow and arrow/Yoyos. Good for ranged one-on-one fighitng.

Assist - Fights with sticks/knuckles. Good for healing/support, or fights close up against multiple monsters.

Magician - Fights with magic, but uses wands/staves as weapons. Good for ranged one-on-one fighting.

I hope it's aibatt XD I stopped playing with my Mushpoie Assist

and if you made on on lawolf... well.... have fun playing alone XD

The fastest levelers are probably Assists, as they get burst crack at level 28 (Area of Effect) Acrobats can be fast levelers too with Junk Arrow. And magicians always do high damage. But getting from 15 to 28 can be a pain in the butt, as AoE assists should focus mostly on stamina. Being AoE only works against enemies close to you in level. While 1 on 1 you can fight enemies of a higher level.

Mercs are special though XD They're pretty slow leveling up in the beginning, but if you make a blade-build, (concentration on dexterity) they end up being the fastest levelers and fastest attackers out of every other class in the game.

Oi, shoot. I'm on the Lawolf servers. >_< I'll probably start a different character...maybe.

Anyways, there are only two jobs that I'm interested in: Acrobats and Assists. If I chose to be an Acrobat, my second job change would be a Ranger, and if I chose Assist, I'd probably choose to be a Billposter. So it's down to which would be better in the long run. Ranger or Billposter. I'm leaning to Ranger more though...

Okay, well Acro and Assist happen to be my specialties xD So, I'll try to help you as best as I can.

First, acrobats. There are two main weapons for acrobats, Bows and Yoyos.
Bows are slightly more powerful than Yoyos are, however Bows require Arrows, and you will go through arrows rather quickly. Arrows cost 1 penya each, and you can carry as many as you want (3000 arrows take up one item block in your inventory). But you have to remember to buy arrows often, because if you run out, you can't fight anymore. Bows have more powerful abilities than yoyos as well, including the incredibly powerful Junk Arrow (one of my favorite skills) and, eventually, Arrow Rain. Damage from Bows are determined by your dexterity stat, and bow skills cost MP to use. So the key stats for bow are Dex, Sta, and Int. Sta is important to have good defense, dex boosts your damage, and a little int to get some bonus MP is good too.
Yoyos are equip-and-go weapons. They take up both hands, just like the bow. When you use your yoyo, you have a chance of knocking your opponent away from you, and the odds of doing so are determined by your dexterity stat. Damage from Yoyos is determined by your strength stat. So the key stats are Dex, Sta, and Str. Yoyos concentrate more on tech than damage; they usually have some side effects (such as Slow Step, which makes your opponent's walking speed slow).
Acrobats aren't as hard to level as mercs are, but they still take awhile. Fighting one on one is very tedious, so be warned.

Assists are different than any other class. As an assist going for Billposter, there are lots of things to consider. First of all, there are 3 main Billposter attacks to think of - Piercing Serpent, a strength-based AoE that does damage to enemies straight in front of you; Bgvur Tialbold, an int-based AoE that does great damage to enemies surrounding you; and finally, Asalraalaikum; another attack that does damage based on the amount of MP you have when you use it.
So you have to consider which of these attacks you want to use; it's much better to concentrate on one instead of all of them. My recommendation is building your character around Bgvur Tialbold (and in turn, Asalraalaikum). A good build for Bgvur is to have only Sta and Int; mainly sta with some int to increase the damage.
But back to assist. When leveling up assists, you gain skills known as 'buffs', which increase stats or other things. The most important buff of them all is Heap Up. I can't stress that enough. Your Heap Up should be the one you concentrate on the most. But it's good to keep all your buffs high. Other important buffs for AoEing are Patience, Mental Sign, Beef Up, and Quick Step. Make sure those are decently high xD So let me know what you decide to do.

It's better to make a new character now as a vagrant. Getting to level 11 doesn't take too long.

This is true. I can make a character and get them to level 7 in less than 10 minutes, so it'd be good to go on and do it now. I recommend playing on the Aibatt cluster ^^

FINALLY got Minamo up to level 70 today! YAY!

Also, as a note for anyone who wanted to go psykeeper - Crucio is now dead.
For those of you who don't know, Crucio Spell is a Psykeeper ability that reflects damage you take back at whatever inflicted it, but doubles it. So if a monster attacks you for 100 damage, they take 200. Psys used to use this ability to go to monsters called Glaphans, which are, at present, the highest level normal monster in the game. What they do is get a good RM to heal and let the Glaphans attack them, doing roughly 2000-3000 damage, only to have it reflected back at the Glaphan for 4000-6000 damage. Of course, fighting an enemy 20 levels higher than you gets you insane experience.
So the mods fixed it. Now, whenever Crucio is responsible for either 75% or more of the damage a monster takes, or if Crucio delivers the killing blow to a monster, experience for said monster is not awarded. I just wanted to point this out for anyone who was planning on making a Crucio build Psykeeper (Crucio build is basically all Sta).

ACTUALLY... Satanology might be changed, as well. They're thinking about ending its effect after the first time you attack the person afflicted with Satanology. For now, though, they've removed Satanology from PvP.
