I feel after my 1st post on RAB357's thread I feel like I need to introduce myself a little more and clarify my stance on things, just would like to avoid misconceptions.
For starters I am a Pieces, if you care about astrology which I know you all don't but hey I will throw it in. - With that I am chilled, layed back person who really could care less towards things, stress isn't the key... happiness is.
I am a Christian, I am non-denominational (even though I attend and I am a member of a Methodist church), as you all know I have thing against christian pieces of art being used in the church...not against them, I love art... just no place in the church for it.
EDIT:Further research has shown to me that art in church is not technically a bad thing as long as credit is given where credit is due. Meaning as long as it is not being worshipped as an idol.
How did I come to Christ? Well I was saved in 2000 by the person who is now my wife. Before then I was raised loosely in a Catholic family and eventually got tired of a church trying to dictate lives and grew a distaste for it and eventually even convinced myself that Jesus' sacrifice was a martyr and I viewed the matyr as suicide. Which lead me to believe that Jesus' sacrifice to save all from sin was a sin as a whole and he was pointless to follow.
I kid you not, the devil is a sneaky guy... he is good at making anything seem true.
Even still, as an aetheist I viewed myself as an ignorant aetheist because I prayed just about every night proving to be wrong...5 years later (he likes to work methodically) I met my wife and found that she answered all the prayers I had ever prayed and that just lead me down the road.
So now I have a warped, twisted view of things but I continue to strive to learn and seek the truth about things, so forgive me if I am ignorant... I just am.
Feel free to share your story, I always like to hear how some one was saved.
"For the Kingdom of Heaven is within you and all around you. Split a piece of driftwood and I am there, lift a rock and I will be there with you."
