Everything You Never Wanted to Know About Raiden

Well, it's a Sunday [sunday . . . someday] and, having just returned from riding my old Razor scooter around the neighborhood, I decided that I would post my bio. Don't ask me why ~ I just felt like it. o_O

But at any rate, for the few who might be interested, here are a few basic details about me:

Real Name: <SPOILER>
Age: 18
Educational Level: Homeschooled, high school graduate equivalent
Favored Manga: Rurouni Kenshin, DNAngel, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Fullmetal Alchemist

Hmm ~ this dossier format is too restricting, so I'll just wax garrulous about myself.

I tend to be the quiet, weird type ~ although I'm not as quiet as I used to be. I was very shy when I was small and I still am, to an extent. I tend to be an introvert, though I enjoy the company of close friends. I place a high value on being a unique individual, a trait that likely comes from being a self-styled artist. I am generally not an outwardly passionate person; many things that would have others in tears/rage don't cause so much of a visible reaction from me. It would, I believe, be a mistake to classify me as cold, although I don't doubt that I may come across as such. In reality, I am fiercely loyal to those few that I form close relationships with. I do love those close to me deeply ~ probably more so than they think. Contrary to my present personality, I was rather impulsive as a kid. This is probably a contributing factor to the person I am today, as my tendency not to think things through caused me embarassment. In fact, it still does ~ I am not the brightest bulb in the box. I also tend to be a perfectionist in regards to my own performance, with considerably more tolerance towards others. I will console someone who feels they can do better, then turn right around and be upset about my own performance ~ even if it is considered good. Anything less than 100% bothers me. I am especially critical of my artistic endeavours; I believe this is largely due to my frequent surfing of deviantART, admiring all the skilled artists. Unfortunately, despite my desire for perfection, I am somewhat lazy by nature, and can lack motivation. However, if I find a project I am willing to commit to, I can be quite motivated. For example, I am an Eagle Scout [despite my general lack of interest in camping or the outdoors] and have competed in competitive speech and debate on the national level two years in a row, and a girl [a dear friend of mine] at roughly my skill level achieved first place in debate this year. It is also worth noting that I carry no particular love of debate and only some for speech. It's actually unusual that I would mention any of this, since I tend to have very little faith in my abilities of any sort and am largely reluctant to mention any awards I receive. I am also intentionally weird, and like to be odd. As such, I tend to shun anime characters that adhere too much to a particular archetype [which is why, for example, Fai is my favorite character from Tsubasa rather than Syaoran, even though I admire Syaoran's selflessness ~ he's just not unique enough, whereas Fai is just plain fun]. As to musical taste, I prefer rock in its more energetic forms, including old-school rock with pianos and organs and some metal. I also enjoy good techno, smooth jazz, some ska [mostly Five Iron Frenzy ~ it's the only ska I have], and some soundtrack music.

Naturally, any questions are welcome, and I will answer as many of them as I can.

I hate cameras, too, Phantom S.. You do any writing, Raiden? Artist can be specific and generic.

I don't do much writing, although I may do some soon. I'm focusing on drawing, myself, since it's what I have a passion for. I'd like to do a webcomic once my drawing is sufficient, so I'll write for that.

Awesome! And Fai is my favorite Tsubasa Chronicle character, too. XD He's just so funny, especially when mixed with Mokona and Kurogane. That's cool that you like to draw, as I love it myself. Could you post some of your stuff? I'd love to see it! :D Anyways, nice to get to know you a little better! :D

Thank you . . . you do realize I can't believe you, of course. ^_~ My personality won't stand for it. But I appreciate the thought.

Well . . . as for story ideas . . . I think I want steampunk elements and an adventure story. Other than that, I dunno. I have to do some brainstorming. As to career ideas, I'd love to do something with art, but I doubt that's what I'll end up doing, since it requires a lot of talent that I simply don't have plus there are very few positions. Right now I'm keeping my options open and waiting for word from the Lord.

Radical Dreamer ~ I have a couple of pieces posted recently ~ one in Character Designs, another in Fan Art.

Linksquest ~ yes, my name is a spoiler. It gives away vital plot details to . . . something. ^_^ Even I don't know what it's a spoiler to. It's just that secret!
