Ummm... let me see if I can remember them all.... okay. I wanted to include all of them... hold on..
First avatar: God Rugal Bernstein from Capcom Vs. SNK 2
It was a pretty lame quality avatar, and it actually took me awhile to dig up. Don't remember where I found it, though, so I had to go pull it off of our desktop comp (I have my own laptop now). When I first played Capcom Vs. SNK 2, I pretty much sucked at fighting games. I was on 3 difficulty, playing as Akuma on single mode, and when I got to the end, this guy was the boss. He killed me about 300 times before I finally beat him (I actually hit -9000 some odd points!!). When I learned that I had unlocked him for beating him, I started using him as one of my main fighters. Since, I've moved on to normal Rugal because God Rugal takes more damage from attacks, and his higher speed doesn't quite make up for it because Rugal is just about as strong as God Rugal is.
Second avatar: Nanami from Suikoden II
The avatar was really the sprite from Suikoden II from Nanami in combat. I got it from
http://www.suikosource.com. Nanami was always one of my favorite characters from Suikoden II (and at times I wish I had somebody like her for a sister instead of my bratty little brother XD ). Nanami is on my list of most adorable anime/game characters. She's cute XD
Third avatar: Yuffie from Final Fantasy VII
This is actually the avatar I'm using at this moment. Yuffie has always been my fave FF7 character (even though I don't like the game itself too much), and to be honest, I think she's too cute not to like! So, I added her to my list of most adorable anime/game characters XD So, when I got my laptop, I decided I wanted to have a 'My Pictures Slideshow' screensaver, and I went Google image hunting, and found this. I totally ZOMG'd when I saw it and instantly made it my avatar (and it's also my profile pic on my laptop XD )
Fourth avatar: Ken Andrews, my favorite musical artist
I used this avatar longer than any other, I believe. Ken Andrews is my favorite musical artist, and he is/was in the bands FAILURE, ON, Year Of The Rabbit, Replicants, and the Los Angeles Digital Noise Academy. I also discovered this avatar through Google image search after Ken became my favorite musician, and this was perfect for my avatar.
Fifth avatar: Tsukimia Ayu, from Kanon
Kanon is, by far, my favorite anime of all time. It may be based off of an H-Dating sim, but the anime is clean (I could show this to elementary schoolers, seriously), and there's also an all-ages version of the game available, though all three of these are Japan only. I cried three times during this 13-episode anime, and two of them are inspired by Ayu, who joined the ranks with Yuffie as one of the cutest characters ever, IMO. I went.... DUH DUH DUH... Google image searching for Kanon stuff, and found this site:
http://animepa.csusm.edu/uguu/index.htm Which has a boatload of images, wallpapers, and game cg's (but only from the all-ages version of the game), and one of the images I liked was the game ending screen for Ayu. I cropped her face and made an avatar out of it. Used this one for awhile, too.
Sixth avatar: Ken Andrews (again)
Same as fourth, even the same picture XD
Seventh, Eighth & Ninth avatars: Bunny Mittens from the Chugworth Comic
I don't even remember how I discovered the Chugworth comic, but it's decent. I'm not going to post the link here, as the comic has some really risque stuff in it, but if you guys do decide to go hunt the comic down, heed this warning. Read the site disclaimer. Then read it again. DO NOT ENTER THIS SITE without reading it, because I don't want a ton of people blaming me for seeing something that might offend them. Chugworth rivals South Park in content. So be warned. But, anyway, Bunny Mittens is another inanely adorable character (although she's a complete idiot), and I think she's kind of funny, so I made an avatar of her. I didn't like it, it had a really bad cropping job, so I cropped one from a different strip, but I didn't really like it, either. So I made another one. Wasn't too pleased with that one, either.
Tenth avatar: Buttercup, from the Power Puff Girls. Image taken from bleedman's comic, PPGD (Power Puff Girls Doujinshi), available at ppg.snafu-comics.com
Definitely a good read, but kinda long. I always loved the early seasons of PPG (everything up to and including the movie), and this fan comic takes all of the PPG goodness, and adds a whole bunch of other cartoons to the mix (Megas, Dexter's Lab, and many others). I recently rediscovered it, and I wanted to make a Buttercup avatar. She's my fave from the comic, but Blossom was my fave from the show. I wanted to get the avatar to be of Super Saiyan Buttercup (read the comic!!!), but there wasn't any good pics I could crop to get one. So, I found a huge pic of the cast of PPGD on bleedman's Deviant Art, cropped out Buttercup, and made an avatar.
Eleventh avatar: The Yuffie avatar (again)
Well, I wasn't sure what I wanted to use as a new avatar. I got tired of the Buttercup one, and I didn't want to go back to the Ken avatar for some reason, so I dug up my old Yuffie avatar and it stands to this day. It also serves as a sort of protest to the utter bastardization Yuffie recieved in FF7 Advent Children. I will *never* forgive Sqeenix for that movie. Unless they make another Final Fantasy Tactics.
