Kenshin, 25!

Postby Radical Dreamer » Tue Apr 11, 2006 8:12 pm

Wow!! I bought volume 25 of Rurouni Kenshin tonight!!
The Geezer is Tomoe's father!! The Geezer is Tomoe's FATHER!! Haha!! I was so excited to learn that!! The fight between Kujiranami and Yahiko was really cool, I thought, and I cannot WAIT for the next volume!! Watsuki keeps throwing out all these wonderful plot twists, and the next will be that Sanosuke will be hired to fight his father!! I'm still patiently waiting for the scene where Kenshin finds out that Kaoru is still alive...That's going to be absolutely wonderful, haha!
Anyways! Your thoughts~!
There's a part in the manga where the Geezer says (about Kenshin), "He was my daughter's husband, who watched over her until she passed," or something like that. He says this after he talks about going to Kyoto to visit his daughter's grave. And Kenshin's only had one wife so far, who has a grave in Kyoto...I love deduction. XD
Ah... ok I see. Whale-mouth's eyes are weird. They dont have pupils. The whole leaf pop part was cool in a way too.

Oh, I know! Little Yahiko...He's becoming more and more like Kenshin every day! :3 I did think it was really cool when he
was able to use the Hadome attack that Kaoru taught him.
I also LOVED the scene where
Kenshin finally came back! I mean, hey, he got an entire two page spread, you know it was important!
I still wonder on how
yahiko was able to stand back up after having that large gun/thing smashed down on his head after he did the special move
Yeah i was happy about
Kenshin coming back
too. I took to long to get to that part though.

ROFL, because he's Yahiko. XD Or maybe it's just because Watsuki wrote it...I'm still wondering how
Kenshin is alive after bleeding more blood than any normal human can possess during the battle with Shishio. XD
But it's ok, we still love our super-human guys, right?

Mm, yeah, Saito's really cool. So is Aoshi, though, too. I think that, after Kenshin, Aoshi is my favorite guy in that series. Haha, he just has this extra cool factor, and he's a bishi. That's a plus.
At the risk of providing more info than I ought to, the old geezer also wears something Tomoe once owned. I just can't remember which volume this was revealed.
I'm kinda sad that the manga only has three volumes left though...

I loved it. Part of my restrictions for Lent was no reading any material not related to school or my spiritual growth. Which meant avoiding the bookstore! But the upside is I read a whole lot of manga in one setting yesterday. I thought Watsuki's thoughts about Kaoru in the free talk were very interesting. I also want to echo what has been said otherwise so far.
