"Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind" anime?

Hayao Miyazaki's "Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind" is my favorite manga series. I keep reading stuff about a new Nausicaa anime but I can't find much detail about it. I know that there was a Japanese version made in '84, which was then butchered and translated to English as "Warriors of the Wind". I have also read something about Disney and a new version (subbed or dubbed, I'm not sure). I hear it's supposed to be a lot better than Warriors, but I don't know any release details. If anyone has any useful info, please let me know, I'd really appreciate it.

no release infor.. but i gotta say the stand alone anime movie of Valley of the Wind is very good.

but i heard from people who've read the manga that it leaves out a lot of things in the manga, so for manga fans, you might not find the movie as excellent.
