What is it? I need to know! It looks okay! Why's it rated T+? So many questions!

It's about fighting and such. And it's been running for a long, long time. The art style is pretty crazy... I believe the one VIZ publishes is the third part of the series, which is also what the anime is based on.

Yeah. It ran in Weekly Shonen Jump for over a decade.
The manga is split up into multiple series, each one taking place in a different time period, but the main characters are usually from the same family and go by the nickname JoJo.

yeah. the manga's like 84 volumes or something like that. it's pretty violent but the art's amazing. it's really out of date but it's like super detailed. the most detailed art i've ever seen is from the manga blame! most mature mangas seem to have better art (i don't read them. i just look at the cover and stuff).

I think it was a missprint since each JoJo saga is about 6 volumes.

No, the way it works is something like this:

Jojo Series 1 - Jonathan Joestar: Volumes 1-5
Jojo Series 2 - Joseph Joestar: Volumes 5-12
Jojo Series 3 - Jotaro Kujo: Volumes 13-28
Jojo Series 4 - Josuke Higashikata: Volumes 29-45
Jojo Series 5 - Giorno Giovanni: Volumes 46-63
Jojo Series 6 - Jolyne Kujo/Stone Ocean: Volumes 64-80
Jojo Series 7 - Steel Ball Run: at least 7+ volumes or so

So, yeah, jon_jinn was more or less right the first time about the series length if you count all of the parts.

This is like CLAMP got together with Queen and made a Fist of the North Star Rock Opera.

And by that I mean I love it. Even if it is totally ridiculous. Maybe because it's totally ridiculous.
