Good war Anime

Voices of a Distant Star has a war undertone, but I'd also recommend (if you don't mind mecha too much) Gundam Wing and Gundam Wing Endless Waltz. Both really good, IMHO. :thumb:

Much of the Gundam series as far as I know. Crest of the Stars and Banner of the Stars are pretty good.

I agree, if you like mecha go with Gundam Wing and Gundam Endless Waltz. Seen Crest of the Stars, thats good too. Can't think of any others I have sen at the moment . . .

Vandread and Full Metal Panic are those types of 'war' animes that contain lots of humour.
