Don Knotts who played Deputy Barney Fife on the Andy Griffith Show past away today. He was 81. He had done alot of TV shows and movies during his time in entertainmaent.
I think he was a great comedian has Barney and the number of movies he did.

He was one of my favorite comedians, both as Barney and Mr. Furley from Three's Company... It's a shame...

That is a shame. He was a really funny actor, I don't think I've ever seen him play a part that wasn't funny. At least he had a long life and made some really funny movies and TV shows. I guess I'll just have to get ahold of some copies of the Andy Griffith Show and watch them again.

A list of some of his movies:
*The Incredible Mr.Limpid:Knotts played a office worker who turns into a fish and helps defeats the Nazis in WW2.

*The Shakiest Gun In The West:Played a dentist on a wagon train mistaken for a
notorious gunslinger(it was the girl he falls for that was the actual gunslinger).

*The Ghost And Mr. Chicken:In it he plays the heir of an estate who has to stay in a haunted house to get his inheritance.

*The Apple Dumpling Gang:Co-starred Tim Conway as a couple of bumbling bandits.

Fittingly according to the paper Andy Griffith was among his last visitors before he passed.

Ralph Furley was always being bullied by his brother Bart.

I believe he played the TV repairman in Pleasantville. You know, the movie about the kids stuck in a "Leave it to Beaver"-style TV show. I hear that's an interesting movie. Has anyone here seen it, and is it suitable for Christian viewing?
