Magic Knight Rayearth?

I had seen a trailer for it and it looks interesting. Anything I should know about before I check it out?

I saw the first few episodes and I wanted to see more. But some things to note--
* "sailor moon" type nudity in the transformation shots (very brief, like .2 seconds)
* Language is minimal
* does have a sorcerer (if that bothers you)
* some of the villians are skimpily dressed
* if I remember, some of the monsters may have a little blood to them, but I doubt it

I've seen a few of the early episodes. It was pretty good.

I've seen it and it's one of CLAMP's best stories. I agree with Ashley comments. It's worth watching. It's a very tame title, maybe a PG.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

I agree with Ashley and Chloe on this. It is CLAMP at its best and it is a very well done story and characters and all. I have read the manga and it is the best I have read in a long time . . . This is one that is definitley worth it!
BTW there is Magic Knights Rayearth (season 1:Anime and Manga), Magic Knights Rayearth 2 (season 2: Anime and Manga), and then a Rayearth OAV anime. (In 1 and 2 and even in the OAV, the manga storyline differs from the anime in many ways, but its still good!) ^_^

Magic Knight Rayearth is a cool anime. Watch it. It's really great.

The 1st season manga and anime are pretty much alike, but as for the 2nd season... Well, I have to wonder if the animation peoples ever read the 5th and 6th manga before they actually started making the videos. That's all I'll say for now.

Well I'm happy to say that I finished the entire manga series today (for season 1 at least) and hope to get the dvds soon. Although I'm a little confused...perhaps I read it wrong, but was it supposed to be so short? I got to book 3 and boom! It was all over.

Yeah MKR is very short...a lot of CLAMP's work is pretty short, except for X...;;; I liked the first season ending because of the twists. But i thought the second season's ending was a little predictable...and i didn't like the anime version of the 2nd season either

MKR is my second favorite CLAMP anime after CCS. It is an excellent anime, especially the first season--the animation is solid and the storyline is very intriguing and top-notch. I would highly recommend it.

The second season is good too, but I prefer the first. The manga is also good. This is one of the few series where I read the manga before I watched the anime. The only part of MKR I haven't seen is the OAV series--I've heard it's quite a bit different in tone from the other series--darker. For those of you who have seen the OAV series, what did you think?
