Hair

Postby Steeltemplar » Thu Feb 02, 2006 3:06 pm

I enjoy writing as a hobby as well as RPing. In both, I find myself constantly needing to describe hairstyles for both genders. The problem is that I know absolutely nothing about hair.

Does anyone know of a book (I am willing to buy one) or a website where I can find a guide to different hairstyles and what they are called? Both genders would be great, but the one I want most is a guide for women's hair.

at my local hair salon they have piles of magazines with different hair styles. maybe you could check there? sometimes you can buy magazines about hair styles too.

and sometimes you dont need to describe the exact style, as long as you describe it in other ways, like "long silky auburn hair with blonde highlights" or something

That's a good suggestion. Thank you :)

ST at the store buying a women's hair magazine.

ST: I'll buy this one.
Clerk: Oh?
St: It's...um...not for me. Yeah. <sweat>
