I was thinking about getting into this series. I would like to know some things about it and how much you guys like it.

I have been searching far and wide for scans of the very beginning, but they cannoy be found. Can someone PM them to me? Thanks in adavnce. :D

Well, since it`s just two volumes I think I`ll just go ahead and read those two.
I`d like the scans for as much as possible.

Well, since it's a licensed series, you probably won't find scans. Methinks you should just buy them, or borrow them from your library.

Maximum is a direct sequel to the original, so it doesn't make sense to skip the first two.

It's a good series, but it's kind of hard to follow what's going on when there's a bunch of action taking place at the same time.

It's different enough that I don't think you could skip it.

I don't either. Of course, doesn't the manga (not Maximum) go from the Nebraska family fight to when Vash uses the Angel Arm against that samurai Gung-ho guy? O.o

You are correct, CDL. Samurai guy is in vol.2 of maximum. And yes, I don't think u can skip the first Trigun manga series. For some "official" scans, you can go to http://www.darkhorse.com (search: Trigun) and preview the first few pages of each volume.

He does? Odd... I thought I saw him use the Angel Arm in the end of the original... guess I should actually read it, huh? :p

It's one of those scenes that was changed in the anime.

I am mega ticked.

My library gave me Volume 2, when I specifically put Volume 1 on hold.
My library account even says I have Volume 1. Can I just jump into the plot?

Just buy them. They're generally a pretty darn solid addition to your own manga collection anyway.

I'm going to shamelessly plug my site here. It's a comparison between the anime and manga versions of Trigun: http://dmll.stephens.home.att.net/index.html. And for the love of God, don't look at the fanart and fanfic. ><
Think happy thoughts.

I think you may want to change the color of the text on your site. I can't read any of it.

I never read the serise but my brother did...and he said the anime was much better. if you like a good western, scifi comedy (not to mention the christian values) the anime is for you...however the manga doesn't sound the same...my bro said its not NEARLY as good. but if you could PM him for the details (HolySoldier5000)
