Last Order is an anime. It's pretty much a prequel to the FFVII game. I found it interesting since I have never played the game.

Last Order is the animated retelling of the events that occurred in the Kalm flashback in FF7.

new NEW info (that definately deseves a bit of bumping of topic!)

animeondvd.com sez....

"Disc Delay (10:08 AM EST): It's ever changing dates for this title but according to an update from Right Stuf, Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children now has a street date of 03/28/2005. It was originally solicited for a November 2005 release date and then started showing a January release date on several sites."

C'MON SONY! BE NICE TO YOUR FANS!!! The ONLY thing that they can actually make up for this horrible date pushing back thing is IF by chance they've included Last Order! ...seems to be the only thign WORTH the wait...

Yeah....I think they have pretty well blown most interest. Most people who want to see it...have seen it. Square-enix is really becoming a joke as far as getting things out goes.

I heard last order will not be part of the package.

This will not sell well due to what Shatterheart said. Most Us fans have already seen.

I haven`t, but I consider myself a fan.

I've seen it twice, and I will still buy it. I wish they would put Last Order on it though. It was so awesome.

Here's something worth noting: (thanks to adventchildren.net)

http://media.adventchildren.net/scans/acegm6zm.jpg

2 disks, eh? Wonder what would be on it... Last Order easter egg?! (Yes I'm still goign on about that^^) because... well, PG-13 for "intense sci-fi violence"? C'mon, they was only ONE scene with a tiny spot of blood on Cloud's forhead and that's IT. Last Order though, was more bloody... *ish still trying to be hopeful*.

...just hope it won't be like the second disk of Miyazaki DVDs >_< Yes, let's watch the whole movie all over again, but in PRODUCTION SKETCHES!! -_-; Not very amusing, as far as I'm concerned.

But, I gotta say I DO like the covers^^ They're using the special ed. covers of the JPN version isntead of that other blah one (so I think). It does say "special ed" on it too... hmmm...

(posting a second post only to bump the thread for new news) :/

from AnimeOnDVD:

'Advent Children Delayed Again? (10:40 AM EST): The release if Final Fantasy: Advent Children has been problematic in that there have been numerous dates solicited for it but according to the way it's being phrased at the news item on the Digital Bits, it probably should not have been solicited at all yet. According to the news post, Bill Hunt wrote "Mike Stradford told me that Sony's working hard to get the film released on DVD here in the States by the end of 2006. Apparently, it's taking a little extra time to work with the director to get all the supplemental elements finished, but the title is on track for release sometime later this year."'

I'd say I'd give up with the hope of it, but it's more like don't worry about putting money aside just yet. :/ Seriously, how many YEARS has it been delayed and does it REALLY take that long to work some some bugs on extras? :eyeroll: *insert VERY long groan here* and once again, with no Last Order it doesn't make the purchase any better :/

According to Amazon, it gets released in 2010. Maybe a tongue-in-cheek user submission to their info page?

Why in the world does this keep getting delayed? It has been in Japan for a goodly while now, for goodness sakes, and a good sub/dub job doesn't take THIS long. Supplemental effects? WHAT ONES DO WE NEED THAT THE JAPANESE EDITION DIDN'T HAVE!? Grrr....

I think the voice actors are recording one word per day. I mean, that's the only thing I can think of.

That, or SCEA hates money, and wants everyone to download it off the net for free.

Well I don't know how Sony does DVDs, but maybe it has extras such as "The Making of Cloud's Hair" "Picking the Right VAs Out Takes Time" and maybe even "The Making of The Making of Extras" :/

We have no idea. Look back a page and you can see a quote from Mike Stradford from Sony... By the end of the year.
