Arrested Development

Postby Scribs » Tue Jan 24, 2006 12:47 pm

Anyone else here a fan of Arrested Development? I find this show to be the funniest thing currently on TV, and I think it is a horrible shame that it is being cancelled. I think that people need to be made aware of what a totaly hilarious show this is, so that they too may be able to take great pleasure each time one of the Bluths makes "A big mistake." Maybe if enough people start watching it fox will reconsider its unfortunate decision to cancel it.

So those of you who are familiar with this show, get out your Cornballers! Stock up on hot ham water! And dont forget to watch out for loose seals! We need to get the word out about this show.

For those of you who have not yet seen it, go see it. Chances are you will like it.

That show is hysterical! I was so sad when I found out it was getting canceled. They have so many bizarre coincedences! I think the narrator is actually one of the funniest people on the show.

Micheal: My family is in a state of... arrested development.
Narrator: Hey, that's the name of this show!

And I really loved when Tobias tried to join Blue Man Group!

I have noticed a few more "Save our Bluths" avatars today. That is awsome, this is a show that I believe needs to be saved, so all you Arrested Development fans out there, edit your avatars to fit the occasion, there are a bunch at: http://www.saveourbluths.com . I fervently hope that this show gets uncanceled.

As the owner of season 2, I hope to biscuits they dont cancel this awsome show.

The "driving him to Anne's" line was amazing, any scene with Anne is amazing!

I do not blame them! I would too.

They are able to make almost any situation horribly hilarious. It is really really sad to think that soon we may not have any new episodes to watch!

Hopefully Fox will realise that it has "Made a big Mistake"

yeah, i agree. their bad tv ratings were because of fox, too. fox almost never advertises AD even though AD has gotten tons of emmies... fox is also giving them poor time slots and not advertising the time slot changes properly... i just hope showtime or hbo does take AD...

yay! great quotes! i hear the last several episodes will be shown from 8:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. the Friday a week from tomorrow!

narrator: "please tell your friends about this show"

i also hear that showtime will pick up AD as long as its creator, mark hurwitz, comes with them... but he is still considering because he said the last few years have been "an emotional rollercoaster" for him...

yeah, there was a lot of elaborate plots and comedy in those four episodes... i liked the very end when ron howard (the narrator) came on as a character and revealed that they probably won't continue AD as a show.... but maybe a MOVIE!

mmmm I'm having hot ham water for dinner right now.

I like the episode with Martin Short....."throw me!"
Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course, we wouldn't fall in love, or have babies, or be who we are. After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it's comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you're very lucky, a plane ride away.

I actually thought that was a little out of place, but to each his own.

one-armed man = best intro episode IMHO

...

i think the martin short one was the most despised episode in general AD fandom opinions

...

yay! i watched firefly until it got canceled =( serenity was really good, though... hopefully AD will be the same way like they were hinting... maybe the firefly/serenity transition even inspired them...

yeah, and the guy playing michael (jason bateman) is the title character in the insanely poor sequel: teen wolf 2...

Edit: (because i don't want to double post) my friend told me that a lot of internet news sites are claiming that showtime signed up AD for two thirteen-episode seasons... it's not officially true, yet... but i really hope it is true...

ahh! i love this show! Meboeck introduced it to me, and at first, to be honest, i wasn't sure what to think of it. At first it annoyed me. It was so different in so many ways from what i was used to. Once i got used to the style, i fell in love with it. The writing in it is absoultely hilarious and the actors all act so well and have great chemistry with one another.

About what you guys said about the show being canceled... weren't there 4 seasons of the show?

I think 3, but they only made about 50 episodes, which is really not a good number in the biz and makes you a targer for cancellation.

Now if they only got to that famed 100 episode...then we would still be watching it.
