Yes they are, and boy, was my mom stoked. You have to undersatnd, she's the biggest Texas Ex this side of Austin--hardly a thing in our house isn't orange and white. It was a close game, but they definately deserved it in the end. Keep your eyes on Vince Young; he's sure to go pro, the question will just be to which team.

Is UT the team with the unorthodox coach? Recent;y features in the New York Times magazine, or is that a different school?

Glad they beat USC, I can't stand them.

I don't know how unorthodox Mack Brown is, but is this the article?

If so, then yes. Sometimes it can get confusing as to if by UT you mean the University of Texas or the University of Tennessee (both have the same colors, oy!)

Ah, my mistake. The guy I was thinking of was from Texas Tech: Mike Leach. Never mind.

Okay, all this talk of UT and Longhorns had me confused. I'm a University of Tennessee grad student, and though I have no idea about sports there, I was pretty sure that they hadn't changed their names from the Vols to the Longhorns! Thanks for the clear-up for me, Ash! :thumb:

I just hope it isn't the Cowboys. If he joined the Texans, that would be cool.

I would squeal in delight if he were to come to Houston; he's a native Houstonian, too, so I'm sure he wouldn't mind coming home, so to speak. But last I heard, he's staying on another year at UT (especially since he wasn't a Heisman winner, which is crazy), and Houston is picking up Reggie Bush from USC to play for the next season. Still, here's hoping!

(And I don't much like the cowboys, either, which is dangerous considering I go to school in Fort Worth now!)

From what I heard on ESPN, Vince Young will be going pro and that means Reggie Bush may have to settle for being the second overall pick with Young going to the Texans, Bush going to the Saints, and if my Titans don't trade away the #3 pick, there is a good chance we might get Matt Leinart and we need him bad.
Simple arithmetic:
FF7 + World War II games = overrated
freedom + things we're lucky to have = taken for granted
manga + anime = a very happy person
Salvation + Jesus' Sacrifice = Eternal Life
a village - its idiot = a lot of smart people
(more to come)
