I don't know if anyone up here is a fan of any of the Ace Combat PS2 games but I've just gotta post this. Ace combat zero: the belkan war will be coming out in 2006  . its like Ace combat 6 but i guess they just named it Zero for some reason. I'm still doing some research on it so i'll tell you if i find any more info. this all i could find so far.

Taking place 15 years prior to the events of Ace Combat 5, Ace Combat Zero seems to focus on an older series of jets than its predecessors. Real world aircraft will appear in the game, including such favorites as the F-15C Eagle and F/A-18C Hornet. Also known to be in the game are the J 35J Draken and the Typhoon.

Gameplay seems to stay true to previous Ace Combat games, with mission-based stages that let players select a jet prior to taking to the skies.

This is all i can find out about it so far, but i will be looking out for anymore news about it. so sorry if i ruined youre life because you have to wait this long just to get it aaahhhh  I'm just so excited. does anyone else like Ace combat 5 or am i the only one?

Well, I finally forced myself to sit down and beat Ace Combat 5, today. Although, the voice acting and dialogue needed a little bit more polishing, I really enjoyed the story and characters. I also enjoyed how towards the end of the game the regular enemies where actually afraid of you. Kinda' like in Panzer Dragoon Orta. As for my plane of choice during end of the game, it was the Su-37. Just becuase I think it looks cool with the black paint scheme.

Anyways, I too can't wait for the next one, but first I'm going to go beat Ace Combat 4...
