Little gore: Not enough in my opinion.
Fanservice: There was fan service? Fan Service is a shot of cleavage, or underwear that serves NO purpose. It is there for the pure enjoyment of men. The ONE shot you're probably thinking of was not fan service. It was just a mature scene for dramatic effect. Remember people, this is a rated R film.

And speaking of it being rated R, it totally could have been rated PG-13. I think it was borderline.

No nudity, the blood shown was nothing,(just a few drips and a spray here or there) and I heard like only 2 cuss words.

This was almost no worse than the tv show.

Worth seeing.

I agree OK, the fanservice in minimal or maybe I've just grown accustomed to Faye's no existent clothing. Anywho, I think when people say fanservice it's all about flashing boobs, underwear, etc. The movie is really free of that, Faye's clothes keep her covered the entire time. Yeah, awesome movie this thread makes me want to watch it again.

My bro saw the movie and said it was great. Is there anything bad in it besides violence? I am a fan of CB and really wanna see it. Is Ed in it?! I looooove Crazy Ed!

I've watched stuff with alot of fanservice Ruro, some of it I have no problem with, some of it is just obnoxious. But CB really, besides some pretty bloody violence, pretty clean. I don't particularly know where the R rating came from. Especially on an animated feature. I don't think it would even be R rated in live action terms. Hmm...I'm going to watch it again tonight while matting my drawings.

The R rating is from "some violent images" as stated on the box. So there ya go.

I've seen the movie too (but never watched the series). I think it's very good and there's not too much violence and blood. I can't say anything about the dubbings because I always watch animes etc. with subtitles.

One scene is kind of disturbing.
Vincent cuts Faye's shirt open, you don't see anything but there is a shot of cleavage, so you do, but you don't. Also, Electra sleeps without a shirt on as you find out.
You really need to see it to understand what I mean. Suffice it to say, he kills a guy about three seconds later with a knife.

Beatle's arn't american Ronin. lol! But there is only one beatle reference, and it isn't very obvious, well, at least it wasn't to me. If you've seen the last ep you know what I mean.

Wow, this is my first post in this topic! Strange...

Don't look at Ronin, he's quoting what I ditzly said a while back. I think the Beatles reference obviousness depends maybe on how into the Beatles you are. I saw it right away.

No, kenshin12 it doesn't bother me. It's a bit freaky weird but nothing happens. *shrugs* Eh maybe cuz I'm a chick, I can deal with boobs.

I enjoy the CB show and I really liked the movie. The fight scenes were the best. I may go watch the movie again.^^

YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.
