A lil help with USB ports...

Postby Knives » Tue Nov 01, 2005 4:29 pm

Ok, so I was connecting my iPod to my computer and my computer didn't recognize it. Gahh. And then, I connected a keyboard to it and I had to reboot to get it to recognize that. Does anyone know if there is a setting I need to enable or disable to make it so that my computer auto recognizes usb devices?
Thanks

Edit: I also just remebered that my downloads have been freezing up a lot and sometimes not even starting. If any one can help me with that as well, it would be great!

If you click start, control panel, then portable media devices on my compy it lets you set things like that up. I think there's a separate one for keyboards. Sorry, I don't know if that helped.

Did you install the software for it? I am not too happy with Apple's iPod compatibility with PC... so theyre may be some issues to be worked out with software/drifvers

It sounds to me like you've got bigger problems and these are all just symptoms. Scanned for viruses/spyware recently?
