Classical TV

Postby starfire » Mon Oct 31, 2005 9:26 pm

Okay, I was wondering. How many people out there watch classic sitcoms on Nick@Nite and TV Land? And what are your favorite shows?

Mine are I Love Lucy and I Dream of Jeannie. ^^

"Get Smart" was the bomb.
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share

And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence.

Gilligan's Island
Laverne & Shirley
The Brady Bunch
On occasion I still watch from time to time:

TV Land has really gone downhill since the glory days when they ran Gilligan's Island, Leave it to Beaver, I Love Lucy, Beverly Hillbillies, and the like nearly 24/7. It used to be I'd like everything they aired, but now they've modernized and are far too much like Nick at Nite, etcetera, for my tastes. I practically never watch anymore. >_>

I used to watch TVLand, but, as Godly Paladin stated, it's gone downhill. However, when it was worth the time, I liked The Dick Van Dyke show (and, of course, the Twilight Zone is great anytime).

What about Charlies Angels. :( I don't think they show that anymore. Yeah, they have gone through a bit of a dry spell. I still like Nick @ Nite, (The cosby show and Roseanne) But they did dump a lot of the greats. Hopefully, it's just a phase. If not...we shall form a resistance! ^^

I Love Lucy is one of my favorite old shows!! It's so so funny, and it cracks me up every time I watch it! Haha! Also, I love The Cosby Show, which isn't really all that old, but is showing on Nick@Nite. Honestly, I have no doubts that I've seen every episode of The Cosby Show more than once. I used to watch it ALL the time, but now it's on in a really late time slot...:( Anyways, those are two of my very favorites! n.n

When we first had Direct Tv Disney Channel still did Vault Disney late
at night where they would show old reruns of shows like Zorro and
The(original)Mickey Mouse Club. :thumb:
It's too bad they opted for a more contemporary line up for their late
night showing. :(
I miss watching Annette Funicello on the Mickey Mouse Club! :(

In one word, you can stop time. It is a weapon
so powerful that even God will bow

What would you do with it?

Some of the ones that were on there were ADAM-12, Emergency and SWAT.
I know they run the westerns on there like Gunsmoke and Bonanza on the weekends.
Maybe TV Land needs more channels for more classic shows.
