He's just hoping to make a quick buck out of these game industry lawsuits and he just keeps digging a bigger hole for himself. Most entertainment watchdog groups have already distanced themselves from him.

This is an actual closing remark made in an email by Jack Thompson to a gamer (after verbally cutting the gamer down, of course): "Jesus loves you, and I'm trying to."

He's either not right in the head, or extremely idiotic, self righteous, and greedy. As much as I want to write him off as the first I know he's the second. Going after Rockstar was one thing they got caught in a lie there but going after class acts like Penny Arcade was low. Penny Arcade has donated thousands upon thousands to charities like Child's Play and other similar good charities.

Apparently, he's trying to get the Seattle Police and some federal agency to arrest Penny Arcade, claiming they're extorting him.

I believe he's mentioned that he thinks he's allowed to insult people because Jesus insulted people.

I think that the guys at Penny Arcade summed it up nicely.

"We are actually fortunate that the current actor is so impotent in his role. Imagine what might happen if some charming, efficacious attorney took his place. The more I consider it the more I think we may be lucky to have Jack playing the part of the alarmist. The alternative might be someone who is actually capable."

As irritating and stupid as Jack may be, he's largely harmless because of his idiocy, and I'm grateful for that. We ALL should be.

Well 20 years from now when everyone and their mother (literally) has been exposed to videogames from a young age growing up, then we won't have to worry about wackos like these getting publicity.
