Elizabethtown

I feel privileged to start the thread of the movie that is about my hometown, Elizabethtown, KY. I must say, it captured the local essence of Elizabethtown very well. It was odd seeing different parts of my hometown captured in a feature film, but the movie was excellent. Orlando Bloom did a fabulous job, as did Kirsten Dunst, Susan Sarandon, Alec Baldwin, and Jessica Biel (and I'm not a fan of any of the aforementioned actors save Dunst and Bloom). The movie is hilarious, yet touching. It's about the budding love between Drew Baylor (Bloom) and Claire Colburn (Dunst), but it's also about embracing your roots, and has a touching interlude about father-son relationships.

There are a couple of innuendos though, and about ten curse words, although two of them are f-words.

Overall, this movie was excellent.

I thought this movie looked cute. ^_^ But I haven't seen it. It seems like one of those things you rent. But, I never really was a fan of Kirsten Dunst. ^^;

It sounds like it might be worth seeing.

The more I hear about it, the less stupid it sounds. xD
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share

And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence.

Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls
once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning
bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love
without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's
my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make
every new day seem so new.

A splitting brow forced by the thorns
His face is writhing with the pain yet it's comforting to me

Yeah, if I had a GF, this is the movie I'd take her to see... This movie was great. I just saw it last night. This movie was seriously a journey... It was like a movie rhapsody. The best movie I've seen in a long time...

Kirstin Dunst was psycho... I want an outgoing girl, but she was a bit too... psycho... Hmm... But, yeah, it was a great movie. A couple of things I didn't get... I thought the comedy school thing was rather stupid... And the tap dancing, but other than that I loved it. I cracked up for most of the movie (until the big moment after the memorial) i will definately be buying this one.
