Anyone else heard of this game?


Well for those who haven't, the demo is out now for the PC version and I recommend anyone who is looking an offbeat adventure game filled with absurdity to check it out.

So what's this game all about? Kids at a Psychic Summer Camp, more or less. -You play as one of those kids, Raz, who is a misfit that snuck into this secret summer camp. The game is divided into three main worlds (or four, maybe), one of which is the summer camp. Each of these contain various characters whose brain you can enter. Their minds serve as the levels of this action/adventure platformer. For example, the first level is inside the camp's Drill Sergeant mind, which resembles a WW2 battlefield complete with propaganda films, gun belt bushes, and some emotional baggage.

The game looks like James and the Giant Peach (for those who remember the movie) mixed with the humor and style of Invader Zim.

The game shows much promise and creativity after playing the demo. I hope the best for this game, which comes out April 19. I plan to pick it up on the X-box later after I pick up a PSP.

I heard about this game a loooooong time ago. Is it just now coming out, or what? I haven't kept tabs on it.

I believe the story was that a "loooooong time" back, M$ was the publisher funding this game. Well, M$ after realizing how bad Blinx turned out to be (I assume this was part of the cause), dropped Pyschonauts to the back-burner (only a couple of months after the game's first trailer) and focused their money on Halo 2, Forinza, and such. Fortunately, Majesco gained publishing rights and now the game can finally be released.

Make sense though, M$ is a more mechanized organization. Perhaps they should stay away from creativity. Still, tis' a shame that the larger a business grows, the smaller the creative minds grow.

I searched around and didn't find any new things on this game here and I just thought I'd bring this back to say this: Psychonauts is quite possibly one of the most original and enjoyable games I've ever played!

I enjoyed the entire game from beginning to end, and found myself laughing my head off many times during it. If you are looking for a great platformer with an original interesting story, chock-full of great humor, great characters, and unbelievable environments to explore, you've got to try this game.

What does everyone else think about this game?

i played the pc version from begining to right after the milkman, i enjoyed it, i dont remember why i stopped playing it though, i loved it, it was so original i recommend it, maybe someday i will go back and finish it

At least you got to the milkman. Wasn't that great!? The ending of that area was so hilarious! Yeah, you really need to go and finish it.

I saw this on G4. If I had an XBOX or better PC, I'd get it. Definetly.

i loved the milk man, i loved the game, i dont know why i stopped, something happened, i think another game came out or something
