One important omission from that list is the Everquest series, which is developed and published by Sony (SOE, to be exact). Console versions of EQ include Champions of Norrath, CoN: Return to Arms, and Online Adventures (which also has a sequel).Fireproof wrote:Sony itself makes no games. Nintendo's the only one that actually does that anymore.

First Party Means that The company that made the console also develops the game
I talked to a couple of people who don't play video games at all, and showed them the Revolution controller, and you know what their response was? "You've got to be kidding, right?"
P.S. As for the person who said "Give me a list of complaints and I'll disprove any of them," I say this. The buttons on the controller are too far away from the d-pad. Unless I hold the controller with two hands, which would be awkward.

Yojimbo wrote:Not so. Would you consider Bungie or Fasa first party for Microsoft? Of course you would same deal on the Nintendo side. They're independent of the larger corporation but they still make exclusive software for them and are in contract with them.

To kinda apply cbwing's analogy to the gaming world, if I designed a controller that you played with your nose, it would be different, but it probably wouldn't be good, now would it?
