I like the pics Souba! Thanks for all the encouragment with my little pics. I don't really have a lot of my drawings loaded on to the computer so I only have a few more pics that I'll be able to upload. Which I shall do later. Anyway here are the answers to the questions recently posed.

1) Which do you usually determine first... the genre (eg fantasy) or the general plot?
-The plot. I just kinda think something up and I bend whatever genre to fit it.

2) How do you develop your stories? EG: Do you start from the beginning and just write, or do you think up different scenarios you want in the story and play 'connect the dots/scenes?
-I completly do the connect the dots or scences. I just start drawing and the story pops into my head after I have the main idea I want.

3) How do you come up with names for your characters?
-I labor over it for a long time...I'm really bad with naming.

4) Which character is your favourite?
-Me. I like drawing myself in comics...I just find it fun. Most every character I draw is similar to me in some weird way.

5) How do you determine the personality of your character?
-It just kind of happens as I'm drawing out the story...They just grow as I draw them.

Oh Taleme I think I shall go with Akakios...It fits him very well since he has a very darkside to him though he tries to hide it from himself.

Souba the second guy is actually some different dude. I didn't even notice how much those two looked alike to you pointed that out.

there are some here are some very nice drawings here.

these are characters from the manga i'm working on; i don't know if they qualify as bishies, i'll let the bishie connisieurs decide... ;)

the first one is Kinson Verdain, barbarian type fellow. my manga is going to be set in ancient roman times...

the second one is Azriel, an angel. this is an old design of 'him' so some things have changed, but i haven't drawn those changes, eh-heh

the third is Sorek, another angel.

1) How long have you been drawing
since i could hold something to draw with; anime style for about 4 years.

2) what is your hardest part to draw?
hands, foreshortening in the arms.

3) How did you conquer that difficultly (eg, I am having a real hard time of drawing hands, legs, feet and arms)
i tried using my own hands as examples, but tiny girl hands just don't work well for models for drawing man hands... ^^;;; i just need to be not as lazy to conquer my problems, practice/practice/practice

4) How did you come up with the idea for your own bishies (ie hair style, clothes, personality... anything!)
whatever happened to come out as i was drawing i start with a basic plan and whatever happens from there happens, i then adopt and adapt what i drew, as characters.

5) ... I'll think up later

1) Which do you usually determine first... the genre (eg fantasy) or the general plot?
general plot, genre is determined by whatever wierdness occurs during the deciding of the plot.

2) How do you develop your stories? EG: Do you start from the beginning and just write, or do you think up different scenarios you want in the story and play 'connect the dots/scenes?
i get a basic idea, where i want to begin, to end, and some stuff that i 'want' to have happen in between, and go from there, changing and adding as i go; so, connect the dots in a way.

3) How do you come up with names for your characters?
some are acronyms, like Lia Filgham (lost in adoration found in love, grace, hope, and mercy) others i look up in a dictionary i have that has Bible names in it, which works great, since it's similar era to when my story is set. i choose names based on their definition and verbal appeal. 'Azriel' means 'God's help'; 'Sorek' means 'noble vine.' for Kinson, i used a part of a name that i had liked from a book, and added a last name i liked that i made up.

4) Which character is your favourite?
Lia, the struggles she's going to go through are some that i go / have gone through or have seen very close friends go through.

5) How do you determine the personality of your character?
by what they are going to do in the story, the part they will play. for example, the emperor is evil (mean, nasty guy, has a god complex, and so on), i'm modeling him from the emperor in 'Gladiator,' since it is a similar way of being evil.nice

1) Which do you usually determine first... the genre (eg fantasy) or the general plot?
General plot. I don't like trying to stick to one genre...

2) How do you develop your stories? EG: Do you start from the beginning and just write, or do you think up different scenarios you want in the story and play 'connect the dots/scenes?
Originally I started at a beginning and just went from there...then I thought up a timeline of events...then I changed it around...o.O Pretty much the whole thing is mapped out, but I skip around with the actual writing.

3) How do you come up with names for your characters?
Well...naming books. A couple of characters were given certain names I had always liked. Some character names gave me a real problem. XD;

4) Which character is your favourite?
Ergh...I hate to try to pick. I love them all for different reasons. Adrian is my baby boy. He's just such a sweetheart. However, Arian is fun to torture. >_> After all, he acts tough but he's really nothing but a big baby.

5) How do you determine the personality of your character?
I...hmmm. Adrian has been with me for a long time, and one day he just finally started to take shape. It kind of happened the same way with the others. I would think of something very general, like "angry" or "happy" or "shy" and then they developed from there.

Whoa you get booted one day and the thread gets filled! >< Ok excuse my catch up gals and guys. :)

First off I want to thank Talame for adding the questions aspect to the thread! You see those roses in my sig? They're for you dear! :)

Orenji my dear it doesn't hurt to take a chance and post your pics. I'm sure we'd all love to see them, and who knows you may have us drooling yet! :thumb:

Soul Alive I like those  especially the one in color, they very well may be on the way to achieving bishie greatness.

That Dude I very well liked that first one! Kinda black haired Kadaj like and everyone knows how I love Kadaj.

Impact Alberto welcome I was wondering when you'd visit. ;) That is a pretty good concept there a bit scruffy and those glasses... reminds me of Isaac from Meine Liebe. But remember to put a short discription of the character, names, stats, behavior etc.
God Bless,
Souba

XD No problemo! It's incredibly interesting to see not only everyone's bishies (which are very bish... even Impact's ;) ), but also to see how they have developed them in personality, looks and plot. Keep up the good work everyone!

Wow, I love all the stuff you guys are putting up! ^__^ The talent on this board is amazing!

I don't have anything new on hand, but I'll put some older stuff up. Much of it you may have seen around here before elsewhere, whether in random places or in my now defunct art thread. Enjoy!

This here's my Shao Zeng :3

Hair: Orange
Eyes: Violet
Age: Around 15 and 16

He lives in a future age where everyone is taught to think a like and there's no right an wrong. The maltese cross in his day represents rebellian, but in his case it's a good thing.

The series he's from, well the name hasn't been decided, but it's an off shoot of Jesus Feaks.

^This guy's my main character. <3

^And this guy, Peter, I don't know what to do with him yet.

^His name is Ying Qing, but the rest for now is a secret.

And the main character (Shao Kai) and his younger brother.

Wooooooow, all this awesome stuff!

Great stuff, Orenji! You've got a cute style!

And, Feng-Li, well you know how I love your bishies. They colors you pick for them only add to the gorgeous linework.

Man, That Dude, your inkwork is awesome! I am envious... ^__^

As for my bishies, the ones I posted don't have names except for the winged one, who's name is Yoru. He's really old, though. And the two guys in school uniforms are in high school, but I never named them, as their story never went anywhere. XD I'll post more soon!

Yus! Post comics! I love comics! In fact, if you don't object to me stealing your idea, I might post some of mine...

Also, I neglected to answer the questions asked here earlier...

>>How long have you been drawing?
I began pretty much as soon as I could hold a pencil and learned classical/realistic art until I got into anime in middle school. I still do realistic, but I now have a distinctive anime style and prefer to use it, given the option.
>>What is your hardest part to draw?
Proportions still give me some trouble, and hands in perspective are also very challenging. Odd angles (looking up or down at someone, etc.) are also difficult.
>>How did you conquer that difficultly (eg, I am having a real hard time of drawing hands, legs, feet and arms)
Observing in real life and practicing, practicing, practicing. I still have much to work on.
>>How did you come up with the idea for your own bishies (ie hair style, clothes, personality... anything!)
I just like pretty things in general, so my default doodling subject is pretty boys. XD Sometimes I just feel like drawing some guy with gorgeous flowy hair, or with certain-shaped eyes, or whatever. Mostly creation’s just on impulse.
>>Which do you usually determine first... the genre (eg fantasy) or the general plot?
Usually the plot just hits me on its own, and I can’t argue with it if it says it wants to be fantasy (which is what it usually is.)
>>How do you develop your stories? EG: Do you start from the beginning and just write, or do you think up different scenarios you want in the story and play 'connect the dots/scenes?
Sometimes the story comes to me in whole, in which case I write an outline so I don’t forget the important points and then try to write in story order. Other times, though, I’ll just write out the scenes that are demanding to be written.
>>How do you come up with names for your characters?
They almost always have meaning or are derived from something with meaning. I use various baby names sites, English-foreign language dictionaries, and literature to choose names.
>>Which character is your favourite?
That’s like trying to ask a mother which of her children she loves the most!
>> How do you determine the personality of your character?
They tell me. ^__^

=X Man, I'm envious of your inking skillz, Dude.

1. Korrid, the wonderfully sarcastic catboy writer. They tried to get him out of the house by teaching him archery, but he never particularly took to it, and only used the arrows to try and stab his brother. x3

2. Torres~ My fwiend drew him for me for my birthday. <3

um i have a question........whats a bishie???
The Letter from God Dear child, Despite your silence, I have heard your soul weeping. Why have you been so unhappy? Have you forgotten my everlasting love for you? Child, you are mine. Why have you not called my name sooner? If you seek me, I will answer. I am your counselor, ready to instruct you and show you which path to take. When you come to me, I will embrace you and silence all your fears. Just remember that I am here to hold you close and dry your tears. I will always be right beside you. Not only am I your father, but your best friend. Do not be afraid to ask for my mercy and forgiveness. I know that its hard to live on earth, so I understand when you fall down once in awhile, ask me for help, and I will pick you up and carry you. No one loves you more than I do. When you feel alone, remember I am beside you. When you feel helpless, remember I offer myself to you. When you feel lost, remember I will lead you, and when you feel forgotten, remember that you are my child and I will love you unconditionally. It is never too late to come home. I will be here waiting, ready to embrace you. I will leave the light on for you. Forever with you, God
