Anyone seen this yet? There seems to be quite a lot of hype surroundiong it. It's about a bunch of kids who are left to fend for themselves on this huge spaceship thing. Looks like my kind of series :)

I've seen the first DVD, and it's pretty good
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Neil Postman

Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge

I'm looking forward to seeing this one. If it is well written and doesn't try to water down its Lord of the Flies tribute, I think it could be a very good anime series. I am certainly planning on renting it.

I've seen the first two episodes. I was at Anime Expo and I mis-read my watch, and wound up at a screening room early. I decided just to wait for the scheduled screening of Haibane Renmei, so I sat down and watched... they were showing the dub of the first two episodes of Infinite Ryvius.

I got interested in it. It wasn't something I was planning on or interested in seeing, but I got rather interested in it watching the screening... I only saw about half of the first episode, though. A bunch of teenagers and some children on a spaceship... I think some kind of schooling craft, and all the adult crew got killed saving them from crashing or something... saved the lives of the kids on board, but lost their own lives, leaving the kids... And they wound up on a mysterious craft that was just out there called the Ryvius.

I remember a group of some of the teenagers taking charge as the leaders, claiming places as crew... I think they had the highest rankings among the students or something... And there was this weird "space - girl" if I remember... some being connected to the Ryvius.

I'm thinking of eventually seeing the series. It started out pretty interesting, and it seemed like a pretty good sci fi... Good sci fi makes Shadsie happy. ;)
