C64 has such a huge list for me... " lO "karateka",8,1 " I'm sure you all know what that does.

Good heavens, I still reach up for the 2 when typing quotes, sometimes.

Nah, I just did Commodore-RUN/STOP. On the Epyx FastLoad, this was the equivalent of LOAD"*",8,1.

I love Realm of Impossibility. I was so hooked on it that the very first time I got to play it, I played it for hours until I beat all the levels. The music is still great.

I just remembered I enjoy Skate or Die also. The amazing intro track is still unbelievable for the 64's capabilities (basically turning the voltage leak in the SID chip into a fourth voice, and using it as a primitive mod-player).

Atari- Kaboom, Dig Dug, Crackpots.
NES-Final Fantasy, Punchout, Duckhunt,Tetris, Silent Surface.
SNES-Gradius III, Super R-type, Lemming 1 and 2, Super Metroid, Double Dragon/Battletoads, Megaman 7, Megaman X 1,2 and 3.
Joust, Robotron, and Sinistar! Not sure what system they were for though.

EDIT: Just realized I forgot Burger time. That game ruled! I've still got my SNES! It rocks!

Many many many many many greats and stuff I think is great.

Bubble Bobble, Puzzle Bobble, Food Fight, Super Mario Brothers 1-3, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Rtype 1-3, Contra, Super Contra, Contra 3, Super Mario Kart, Street Fighter 2, Killer Instinct, Alien vs. Predator (the arcade side scroller) all the Konami Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle arcade games.

Bank Panic: an interesting almost FPS from way back when where you are a sheriff protecting a (circle shaped) bank, you see three doors on the screen and have three buttons, one for each door. The doors open, and you have to let the citizen deposit their money or shoot the robber.
Mutant League Football: You have nasty plays that include exploding footballs and sticks of dynamite, you can bribe the ref, and you can win the game it the opponent doesn't have enough living players.

I notice a lack of sport games on the lists. Not that I am a huge fan, but I find it interesting that nobody is listing Techmo Bowl or old SNES Maddens. Are they just not as classic, or simply overpowered by thier sequels?

Lol, I used to love the old froggers. . . it was such a simple premise, get the frog across the street and over the river, but I could play it for hours anyways. This little boy who used to come over to my house would make the frog jump out in the middle of the road, then watch it get run over, laugh, and do it all over. And over, and over. So basically there are multiple ways to get joy out of this game.

What I never got about Frogger was why can't he SWIM?

Hey, hey. Realm of Impossibilities. Played it on the real thing, but the emulator version was bugged. Spy Vs. Spy... Hours upon hours of stabbing each other to death, etc. ... Times of Lore. Can't believe you guys skipped that one. I still wonder if I can call Origin and tell them I won it as the game invites.

WE ahve a couple of Game Boys around here...

I grew up one Quake and Doom. Tie Fighters, Jedi Knight...

Star Wars: Dark Forces (I think.. yeah.) was a pretty good one, but then again so were, for the PC, Ultima 6, and 8. 7 was just.... gyeh.

Then, of course, Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss, and Ultima Underworld 2, whose sub-title I've completely forgotten were also great games.

The Ninja Gaiden trilogy, Mega Man 1-6, Contra, Dragon Warrior, and TMNT 2 & 3. Those games are still some of my favorites.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I forgot to mention Raiden 2, I've been playng the tar outta' that game since I was about 3 years old. I still play it sometimes. It's an arcade game and there's an arcade about 20 minutes away from my house so sometimes I go there and play it. Man, I've spent about five bucks on that game in a single sitting. Good game.

If you're thinking of an old arcade game with two fighter-jets (a red one and a blue one). And where you shoot at every enemy that flies in your direction, yo're thinking of the right game. Man, I'd love to have that game in my room.
