Lately I have been having lots of fun with this game, which can be played for free here:
http://www.miniclip.com/anagrammatic/anagrammatic.htm
It is a multiplayer online word game, and it is quite addicting.
Each game is composed of 5 rounds. At the start of each round players take turns selecting 9 vowels and/or consonants, which are then randomly chosen. The object of the game is to come up with the longest valid word from the 9 random letters. If your opponent comes up with a word of equal length, then both players get points; but if one player finds a longer word then that players gets all of the points, while the other player gets nothing. The final round works somewhat differently. In the last round both players are given a scrambled 9-letter word. The first player to unscramble the word gets 10 points, most likely winning the game. If you are good at Scrabble, then you will probably also be good at this game.
The game keeps track of your wins and losses, and you gain in rank based on your win/loss ratio and on the skill of the players that you defeat.
Why am I telling you all this? I want to see how well you match up to me . My current record is 45-7 (45 wins, 7 losses) after 3 days of playing the game.
My username in the game is cbwing0 (what else? ). If I see a CAA name that I recognize (or a different one that you post here), then I will offer you a game; and if you see me, feel free to challenge me to game .
