I'm one of those people that didn't play the game and at first glance I thought that Cloud should be with Aeris. But I saw the dedication and love that Tifa demostraits throughout the story I couldn't help but see that she really cares more for Cloud. After that I came to like Tifa so much that I cosplayed her at a con I went to a few months ago. I'm definetly looking forward to seeing the completed movie hopefully within the next few months. Come on SE hurry up!

Ah, c'mon...

Well, even though it isn't my favorite FF game, FFVII was the first REAL FF game I ever played (Mystic Quest was the first, and I'm surprised it didn't turn me off to the series, honestly). Thus, even though it isn't my favorite, it will always hold a special place in my heart...which is why I like it so much. I think Yuffie is my favorite FF girl ever, which is why I cheered when I saw her in Advent Children.

They probably will...I think we had this discussion in one of the other threads. There are a lot of gamers who aren't into anime and will want English voices for the movie...but by the same token, there are a lot of gamers who ARE into anime and will want the original Japanese with subtitles. Let's just cross our fingers that Square-Enix will release a bilingual DVD in America, ne?

I heard the japanese relase date was originally november but they delayed it so that there would be a dual release on the same date for america and japan.

Actually, Cait Sith is in Dirge of Cerberus, the game you just mentioned. He doesn't have his giant moogle, but it's unmistakably him.

As for AC, well, since Reeve doesn't have to be in hiding from Shinra anymore, I suppose Reeve doesn't really need it. Which brings me to another question, will Reeve be in AC? I don't see him in the trailers...it's a shame, too. I think a lot of people discount him simply because he wasn't a strong presence in the game, he mainly worked through Cait Sith...which is sad, really. I liked Reeve.

Cloud didn't love Aeris...he couldn't have.

Who did Cloud think he was? Well, he thought he was Zack. Talked like Zack. Acted like Zack. For all intents and purposes, WAS Zack (heck, he didn't even get motion sick UNTIL he remembered who he really was).

Zack and Aeris were dating. So since Cloud thought he was Zack...it's only natural that he would be attracted to Aeris. Since Aeris loved Zack, it's only natural that since Cloud acted JUST like him, she would be attracted to him. She knew it wasn't love, though...she WANTED it to be, leading to her statement in the Gold Saucer.

"Cloud, I want to meet you."
"I'm right here."
"(I know, I know...) What I mean is...I want to meet...you."

She KNEW Cloud wasn't who he said he was, and knew she couldn't love him as he was.

Now, for support of the Cloud/Tifa relationship.

Well, first of all, why did Cloud want to join SOLDIER? He wanted to be noticed by Tifa. She never paid him any attention and he wanted to stand out.

Tifa was prepared to give up her life to look after Cloud when it looked like he would be mentally and physically disabled for life.

During the Lifestream sequence its is implied that he had deep feelings for her he could never express at the time: "......a sealed up secret...... wish......Tender memories......no one can ever know........." A large part of that sequence is devoted to him confessing his desire to be closer to her.

Finally, the way they spend the final night together alone before the assault on the Crater is suggestive of something more than just friendship.

So, if Cloud and Aeris end up together, it would be really, REALLY stupid, not to mention poor Tifa would be left out in the cold.

Sorry, but I don`t know how to copy just one line from a post. The line was:

Well, I had tifa and Cloud on the ride on the Golden Saucer and the most you got out of them was:

"Cloud, I wanted to know...."
"Yeah?"
"Well, it`s kind of hard with Aeris here and all but this would be the perfect time to say it."
"Say What?"

And then the ride was over and she says 'Nevermind."
So was Aeris the one in your file that is in the play with you with the dragon and you kiss her and stuff? It was Tifa with me. Maybe they match you up by how much you talked to them or what words you chose when they ask you a question.

I really want to know what the release date for Advent Children is in America. Someone said March 4th and right now it`s March 26th. Did you mean 2006?

2006 wouldn't suprise me...but It's not going to be lol.

It is confirmed from Enix that it will be released on UMD first. So all you PSP owners can get first dibs. As far as a release date Enix is holding a conference on April 13th in Tokyo and another on April 15th in Osaka.

I've read that an Advent Children release date should be released, and also FFXII will be mentioned.

As of late there has been a lot of updates and news on Advent Children's release, but I think it would all be too much to post it here.
So I want you guys to know about a new Ac Fansite that just opened recently http://www.ff7acmovie.com/ they have lots of up to date information and a complete report on the 25 min footage from the Canadian film festival. I wish I had got to go, but then again the reoprt with exclusive pictures is just as well.

I don't know if you all have talked about this already? There also seems to be an OVA coming out with Advent Children, that looks very exciting. "Final Fantasy VII:Last Order" is featuring Cloud, Zax (I'm very happy!), Tifa and Sephiroth, and the famous accident at Nibelheim (Sephiroth going insane, burning town down, etc. etc.)

EDIT: hmm. The OVA is seeming to come with only a certain edition of the dvd's. The "Ultimate Edition". I think on Yesasia it was.. 382$ . I don't think I will be seeing this animation soon.
