I think that thus far my all-time favorites have been both of The Little Mermaid movies, both of The Rescuers movies, and Pete's Dragon (no one's mentioned that yet). :)

[Edit: Too late to vote for this in the poll, but I'll give Mary Poppins an honorable mention because I'm a bit of a fan of (Richard) Van Dyke. ^_^ *boots filter* ]

I remember Pete's Dragon. That was a cute movie.

If there's a movie missing from the poll, I'm sorry. I'm human and I forget stuff. Besides, they made too many movies for me to list every single one >_O

How could you forget The Brave Little Toaster?! Classic movie. I like the scene in the junkyard wher all the junked cars start singing before they get smashed! The last time I stayed the night at my friend's house, we put that movie in and laughed at it, it was truly a trip down memory lane. *sits there and stares in a daze while remiscing days of yesteryear*

I'd put my vote on the Lion King and a Goofy Movie (which I felt is quite underrated among Disney fans).

Well, I'm glad no one forgot my two faves: Pinocchio and Emperor's New Groove. Everyone else can't understand why I like those two so much, so it's good to see them at least recognized on the list.

And now that I think about it... I wanna watch those two again now.

Of the ones listed I chose Mulan simply because it was the best of the current
crop of films and Mary Poppins because of the fx work in it and because it starred
Julie Andrews and D____ick Van Dyke.

Fav. Disney movies:

Beauty and the Beast: It was the first one I ever got. I loved it

The Lion King: Hated it at first because of what happened to Mufasa. I remember watching it with my first grade class. I cried when I saw that part. Later on my parents bought it despite my protests. I'm glad they did.

Robin Hood: "Mommy" (Prince John sucks on his thumb)

Alice in Wonderland: A very merry unbirthday to you

Aladdin: I liked it but my parents didn't because Jafar turned into a snake. I still love the film.

Blank Check: Kid fools bank and adults

Parent Trap: The old and the new

Freaky Friday: New. Lohan rocked.

Atlantis: the first hands down! it was so awesome.

That's it for now.

I liked Jungle Book when I was little...I still do even now. Sher Khan (it actually means "tiger king" in Hindi) was my favorite character in the movie for being the dignified villian. I also liked Baloo's character a lot. So carefree . The background art was very well done IMO.

I once memorized Mulan - all the way through the credits songs. At a recent lan party one of my friends's little sisters was watching it in hte next room over. I had fun quoting it to them until they tried to attack me.

*is suddenly wondering who would win in a duel of the villains, Sher Khan or Scar?*

Hmm...I foresee an overwhelming urge to draw fanart coming on..

Scar. 'Cause he's just....cooler. He's...he's got a scar!!!

no really, and he has his own bad guy song and a ton of henchmen. Yeah.

I also noticed that THe Great Mouse Detective isn't on the poll...that's a great movie. It's funny, it's great for Holmes buffs, has a great fight at the end and has Vincent Price as the badguy. Oh yeah.

No one's said the ultimate Disney movie: Fantasia
  • "Nutcracker Suite"--Had fairies and dancing mushrooms
  • "Rites of Spring"--Dinosaurs
  • whichever one had the unicorns and Greek gods.
  • "Sorcerer's Apprentince"--Mickey does magic tricks. Brooms walking by themselves.
  • Night on Bald Mountain--Tcherbanog and some ghosts come out to socialize

There's a sequel as well. Fantasia 2000. It's not quite as good as the original, but it's sure close.

I am not surprised. It was a bunch of short segments without a connecting plot. It never did much for me.

1. The Lion King (an animated masterpiece, fantastic in practically every category, especially music probably, that score is nothing short of spectacular. This is actually possibly my 2nd favorite movie ever. A real childhood film (I was crazy about it when it was new) and one of the few movies to make me cry)
2. Miracle (didn't feel like a Disney film, but never the less. A fantastic potraytal of the 1980...miracle ;))
3. Remember the Titans
4. The Santa Clause (excellent holiday film)
5. The Incredibles
6. Toy Story
7. Mulan
8. Emperor's New Groove
9. Monsters Inc.
10. Alice in Wonderland
"For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace." - Isaiah 9:6
