Indiana DVD set!

Postby Link Antilles » Wed Nov 19, 2003 6:41 pm

A week or so ago, I got the Indy DVD set! It's just awesome! A must have, for an Indy fan! They've redone the sound for 5.1 and on my THX sound system it's just cool! O' Yeah, the picture quality is a lot better too, Last Crusade looks almost like a new movie! I love it!

So, who has it? Comments?

I'm waiting until there is some decision on this Indy #4 movie before I spend more bucks. I already have the box set on VHS, a poor second, but still ...

Ahhh yes, the male version of Tomb Raider

*covers ears* Blasphemy! Blasphemy I tell you!

Yeah, Indy 4 is coming out. At least that's what the folks at Lucasfilm were saying.

As for you, Link...you're so lucky! I can't wait til I have mr. jones snuggled nicely on our dvd shelf. I'm the biggest Indy fan.

Since Raiders of the Lost Arc came ou in 1981, and the first Tomb Raider in the mid 90s with the crappy movie a few years later, wouldn't Tomb Raider be the female version of Indiana Jones?

I have the VHS set, but I wouldn't mind owning the dvd's.

The Indiana Jones movies are great.

I had pre-oredered it at Suncoast and picked it up the day it was released.

The set rocks (now all I have to do is watch all of it).

You know, I've seen the first two but I haven't ever seen The Last Crusade.
I need to rent it or borrow it from the library or something.

I'm renting the movies... cause I prefer to save my money for more anime. The Indy movies are among my very favorite movies ever made.

I caught The Last Crusade on TV once, it was very good.

If I had the time I would go back and watch the movies (I have then on VHS, and the DVD's look tempting).

I got the widescreen boxed set on Sunday, and I just watched my favorite, "The Temple of Doom." The picture quality on the films has been greatly improved, and the DVDs are of course loaded with extras.

I loved two of the Indiana Jones movies, but haven't bought the boxed set because to me (and I will respect others differing opinions...) the Temple of Doom seemed very much like a B movie...

Yes, most Indy fans are ashamed of the second one. The opening scene in the chinese bar is fairly entertaining...but after that...*sigh* you might as well just skip over to the last crusade. If anyone gets the set, the bonus disk alone is worth checking out.

I guess I'm not a true Indy fan, then; Temple of Doom has always been my favorite of the three. (We only just figured out that it's the prequel to the other two; it takes place in 1935 and the other two are in 1938, if memory serves me correctly.)
