Portable NES?

Postby Felix » Fri Jul 29, 2005 7:26 pm

You heard me right. Atari, NES, SNES, and PS1...all as nifty, rather bulky, portable systems.
Check it out.

Pretty awesome stuff, although those NES and SNES carts are so big that it kinda ruins it... The Genesis has smaller carts, and so it's a lot better for that sort of thing.

That guy could probably make a fortune if he could mass-produce those.

Although that would be illegal, right?

I want to make something like one of those someday. It won't be pretty, but it'll probably work.

Si senor.

Deffinetly cool stuff I wonder how many hours of painstaking work it took to do those.

The portable NES is available mass produced... Hehehe... It's called the "Game Ax" and, yes, it is illegal for them to sell, at least in countries honoring Nintendo's Patent... It's a Hong Kong Pirate system. I saw one when I was in Fiji, and I would have bought it if I had had the money... Of course, I may not have been able to get them into the US...

"Game Ax" and games like "Somari" and the NES Donkey Kong Country are great for collectors... Somari was especially nice...

I would love to be able to make something like that, but I fear I have not the time, experience, or money.

Funny . . . Sega had the same idea. It was called the Genesis Nomad.

I had one. ^_^

That's pretty cool, illegal but still cool nonetheless.:P

You could of it's not like customs guys know the difference between bootleg products and whatnot. My cousin brought home tons of bootleg DVD's from Iraq which he just bought off of merchants on the street.
