Zoids Chaotic Century

Postby Towi Wakka » Thu Nov 06, 2003 8:39 am

This is the best series of Zoids and the only one that I will watch. The plotline is great and it can be watched by people of all ages. There is no perverted commedy in it either. SO WHY HASN'T IT BEEN RELEASED ON DVD OR VIDEO YET? :mutter: :bang:  OK, I just had one of my moments there... But seriously if there is a way to get it, please tell me. Feel free to post your oppinions on the series. Trust me, its worth watching.

I thought it was interesting that Westwood Studios animated those 3d mechs. So technically this is half-Western, heh. For some reason that blonde girl reminds me of Chii from Chobits.

Whoa! When did this thread start? I'm a huge Zoids fan, so I'm surprised I didn't see this one until now. But, first things first.

Welcome, BelldandyMewMew! You've got quite the mouthful of a name, but I can tell by it that we have some common taste in animes. ;)

And you are now my friend. Why you ask? For the simple reason that you think Moonbay is cool. She's one of my top favorite anime characters. Who's a transporter of the wasteland?!

Ooohhhh!!!!!

Postby Archan » Fri Nov 14, 2003 2:23 pm

OH YEAH!

Zoids rock!

Tomi Wakka-You rock! For the simple act of starting this thread....YOU ROCK! Chaotic Century is indeed on of the best of the whole ZOID series, but you might want to take a look at Guardian Force (The second part to Chaotic Century), it's even more worth watching. As for accuireing ZOIDS, all I can say is record record record. Though, you might want to try e-bay or the hasbro or tommy websites. You never know.

Ruroken-Ah, I've yet to watch Fuzors *wimper, wimper* But from what I have seen and read, the only thing I can say that I don't like about Fuzors (Other then some of the bad hair) is that two of the most powerful ZOIDS (Beserk Fury and Lord Gale) are very undermined in this series. I don't know if it's the pilot that makes the difference, but eh, don't want to end this in ranting. So I'll stop.

Belldandymewmew-Yes, Chaotic Centiry and Guardian force are the best. However many good things came from New Century. Liger Zero and Beserk Fury just to name two ;)

Gypsy-My fellow ZOIDIAN! Yeah, Moonbay was cool. But my absolute fav female character is Leena Toros. Other fav characters are Vega and Raven.

BTW: Just for kicks, anyone here collect the actual ZOID models?

Fun Fact: My avatar is that of Lord Gale from the Fuzors series. Fuzors Dark Spiner actually has a color mistake on it's snout. (There's a band of black that should actually be sea green as the rest of his armor)

God bless,
Archan

Yay new friend, I'm happy! Yea, my name is from as you can tell, Belldandy from AMG and Tokyo Mew Mew. Zoids is the best! :thumb:
I wish they showed it more on CN! I know New Century is out on DVD, but when does Chaotic Century come out to DVD? I wanna get em!

Gosh, it's been so long since I watched Zoids! I didn't know there were so many -- are they only in Japanese? I think I only got to see the "regular" first season or something.

Is there a subbed version of Zoids avaliable? If not, then this is one series I may consider importing. The Japanese DVD's are quite expensive though. (around $55 per DVD)

Honestly, I like all of the zoids series, but Chaotic Century and Guardian Force are the best in terms of story. However, New Century is a different sort of series. CC is more of a quest narrative, meaning that the plot has more depth and diversity than the constant battles of New Century. New Century is more "fun," while CC is a better story.

I have the Berserk Fury model, and it is awesome. The models are superior to most others (such as the Gundam model kits), because they actually move. Some of the better models are expensive and rather hard to find, but definitely worth it if you like models.

A related question: what is your favorite Zoid? And I'll start: I like the Death Saurer. :thumb:

Zoids Still Rock!

Postby Archan » Tue Nov 18, 2003 3:14 am

Belldandy Mew Mew-

YEAH ZOIDS IS THE BEST!

Jedisonic-

Actually, about all of the series and seasons are now dubbed. In fact, The new series Fuzors was released here in the states first and has yet to be released in Japan....how groovey is that!

Chris 4150-

To be honest, I'vr been curious about watching the subbed version and comapring it to the Dubbed version, however I have yet to find a subbed DVD or VHS of ZOIDS....$55..Yeesh! Highway robbery bud!

Cbwing0-

Totally agree with what you said. but I have yet to pass judgment on Fuzors in comparison to the previous three seasons. However from what I've heard and read, Fuzors kinda has both the battle factor and a rich storyline developing....so who knows.

Yeah Berserk is awesome! Though, I was kind of slightly let down by the model being I was expecting Beserk to be a tad bit bigger. I own a Genobreaker and even it's bigger then Berserk! But, eh, just owning the Berserk is enough for me at the moment....he he he.

Favorite ZOID?

Oh geez, I luv em all! However the very first Zoid I fell in luv with was Berserk Fury. And even today he remains to be my fave (I favour all T-Rex types).

To be very truthful though, I favour all the actual ancient Zoidian ZOIDS, such as Gilvader, Battle Cougar, Mad Thunder, Death Boarder, Gungyalado, Pegasus, King Gojulas, etc....

My fave Blox Zoids are Matrix Dragon & Lord Gale

Gypsy-

LOL, You know to this day that remains one of my fav episodes! I absolutely luved it when she blew out of the Backdraft Whaleking in Jamies Pteras, wrecking the poor thing. Ah, now thats what I call a woman!

More Fun Facts: On the Box of Hasbro's Beserk Fury, the displayed model is missing a foot guard on it's left leg.
The armor Berserk Fury dawns isn't his real armor. It was developed by Dr. Leon and backdraft...Berserks original armour has still not been found.

Model Discoveries:

I discovered the Berserk and Lord Gale models can in fact fuse together! Along with this Flyscissors & the D-Head (Two blox zoids which make up Lord Gale) can fuse with Berserk as well.

God Bless,
Archan

Unfortunately, Japan is a very small country that could never ring up the astronomical sales figures like a large country like the U.S., so their products are more expensive than ours. Which is why I only import the stuff I can't get subbed in the U.S. on DVD.

Zoids Chaotic Century is an awsome anime series. My favourite character would have to be Irvine; I like the Geno Breaker best. The others are good, but this one is the most interesting of them to me.
